Now Iran knows they have the Strait of Hormuz as a major leverage point, their regime is still hard line, & their nuclear weapons program is not going away. But let's get to a better place. We need to stop this war.

Iran is stronger and we are weaker. This war was a colossal mistake.
Democrats are working to lower costs, strengthen food security, and protect working families.
At a time when families are struggling to afford groceries, House Republicans are advancing legislation that fails to fully fund WIC benefits, cuts investments in safe drinking water, and supports a war with Iran that is driving up the cost of fertilizer needed to grow our food.
Happy Father’s Day to everyone celebrating in WA-09. Thankful to the dads, grandfathers, and father figures who have stepped up to support their loved ones.
Happy Juneteenth to everyone in Washington’s Ninth District! Today, we celebrate the end of slavery in the United States and the bravery of those who worked for emancipation.
Good luck to Team USA as they take on Australia at Lumen Field today! Stay safe and enjoy the game.
Maintaining safety standards and connecting people with services are not in conflict.
Residents in Little Saigon and North Beacon Hill have raised concerns about 12th and Jackson for years, and I appreciate the city's clear commitment to enforce public safety standards and hold people accountable for illegal activity.
I commend Mayor Wilson and the City of Seattle for taking a step in the right direction on public safety.
The war with Iran has been one of the worst foreign policy disasters in our nation's history.
Thank you to everyone who joined me at yesterday's Veterans Mental Health Roundtable in Tukwila to discuss best practices, access to quality mental health care, and the needs of veterans across Washington.
Our service members sacrifice so much for our country, and it's essential that we provide the resources and support they deserve.
Great conversation with Noah Riffe on @lobbingscorchers.com about soccer, Seattle, and democracy. My son and I both love the game and there’s something very powerful about our region welcoming the world to its doorstep. That’s who we are. That’s what we need to protect.

BREAKING: the US and Iran have reportedly agreed to a ceasefire. This comes after Congress passed a War Powers Resolution to end the illegal Iran War. Here’s what @adamsmith.house.gov had to say about the effort to get the Resolution passed: #trump #iran #war #news #politics
The World Cup is an opportunity to show that we want to be a part of the global community.
Yesterday, I joined the Mercer Island Rotary Club to share updates in Congress and answer questions ranging from school safety, the war in Iran, and the push for better governance. It was great to engage with them on the issues they care about.

"I still don't ...think that either President Trump or Prime Minister Netanyahu understand that we have to find partners for peace, not just enemies that we want to kill."

"Any deal as good or ... better than what Obama had negotiated, & Trump stupidly tore up, is just not on the table & Trump's trying to obfuscate ... so that we don't see that."
