I’m deeply concerned about the FBI's arrest of a Wisconsin judge. These escalating attacks on due process and courts seeking to uphold the rule of law should concern all Americans. I'm working to get answers and will do everything in my power to defend judicial independence and the rule of law.
I was pleased to welcome @coons.senate.gov to Philly Shipyard to highlight the growing importance of regional shipbuilding for both our national security and local economy. We met with students at the shipyard's apprenticeship program and toured the Naval Surface Warfare Center in the Navy Yard.
Great to meet with YEAH Philly and learn more about their work to curb gun violence among youth and reduce recidivism by advocating for participants within the court system, connecting them with services and resources, and offering skills training and internship placements.
I joined Senator Hughes, state and local officials, healthcare providers, and advocates for a roundtable discussion on the impact proposed Medicaid cuts will have in our communities.
We are all fighting the GOP plan to cut Medicaid in order to give tax cuts to big business and billionaires.
Shout-out to Philly Commissioner Omar Sabir and the community for hosting a town hall at the SW Philly satellite voting center to share accurate info about elections and voting, debunk misinformation, and update constituents on how the SAVE Act could prevent eligible PA voters from registering.
Thank you to Rep. Borowski for organizing the intergovernmental town hall with Senator Cappelletti, Radnor Commissioner Maggy Myers, and me, and to everyone who joined us to ask questions and share concerns. I always appreciate the opportunity to hear from the community and share a DC update.
Thank you to the dedicated staff at Planned Parenthood in Media who provide critical reproductive health care services for thousands of patients every year. I was interested to tour the facility and learn about the range of services and information they provide.
As the poorly drafted SAVE Act heads to the U.S. Senate, Pennsylvanians need to know that it will make it more difficult for eligible PA voters to register and vote. Here's how:
👋Checking in.
I'm out and about in the district this week, addressing constituents' concerns about issues like Trump's chaotic tariff rollout, federal layoffs, and dismantling of Social Security, IRS and VA.
SEPTA is pivotal to the daily lives and livelihoods of Delaware County residents.
I stand in solidarity with Senator Tim Kearney, Rep. Carol Kazeem, state and local leaders, labor, advocates, and community members in calling upon the state legislature to fully fund SEPTA.
Great to celebrate outstanding students, teachers, and local nonprofits at Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union Foundation’s annual celebration—including Strath Haven High School, our Delco Hi-Q champs who went on to win the 2025 national championship!
This administration's attacks on Social Security are creating longer wait times, website and phone system failures, and opportunities for fraud against recipients. Social Security is a promise to Americans that cannot be broken – and I'm doing everything possible to protect it.
A White House acting in good faith would exert every effort to comply, not risk a constitutional confrontation.
I join @housedemocrats.bsky.social in demanding aggressive enforcement of the court order.
The Supreme Court ruled unanimously that the Trump Administration illegally deported a Maryland man and has ordered that the government facilitate his release and ensure that he receives due process.
Good to join Legal Services Corporation this morning to celebrate their important work and highlight the continued need to ensure access to justice for all.
You've got questions?
We've got answers.
Debunking the myths of Social Security fraud ⬇️
Thank you to everyone who came out to our town hall yesterday to make your voices heard!
I’m always grateful for the opportunity to meet you in person to have honest conversations about the challenges facing PA-05 and our country.
This is what democracy looks like.
🗓️SATURDAY: I am hosting a town hall at 3:00 p.m. in Sharon Hill to give you an update on the latest out of D.C. and how I’m fighting for PA-05 families.
Advance registration is required. Find more info and RSVP here: scanlon.house.gov/calendar/eventsingle.aspx?EventID=1876
Yesterday, I convened community leaders and advocacy groups to call out the Trump administration's attempts to dismantle Social Security.
This is YOUR hard-earned money, and it's time to tell President Trump and Elon Musk: Hands off Social Security!
I was proud to honor PA-05 Vietnam War veterans and their families for their valor, services, and sacrifices on behalf of the country with a commemorative pinning ceremony.
