It’s Day 4 of the shutdown, and yesterday we volunteered at the food bank.
We understand we have to take care of our families and communities in NM, which is why extending food assistance was such a focus in the Special Session that our Legislature just wrapped up. Here’s what we are doing. ⬇️
Just left our Town Hall in Downtown Albuquerque, where we had hundreds join to share their thoughts, questions, and concerns about the shutdown and everything else happening right now.
Grateful to the State Leaders who came out tonight. We are #NewMexicoStrong #NewMexicoTrue 💕
Starting now! We’re also live streaming on YouTube: youtube.com/@repstansbur...
“At least you know exactly who your friends are. They're the ones with matching scars.”
Feels very right for this moment.
We see you, Taylor Swift. #TheLifeofaCongresswoman
NM State House Speaker Javier Martinez and members of the New Mexico Legislature will be joining us at our Town Hall!
RSVP here: forms.office.com/g/hRza1grkPZ
Can't make it in person? We'll be live-streaming on YouTube!
🚨 Some amazing news! 🚨 Our Legislature just gaveled out in a historic Special Session to shore up healthcare, food assistance, and public broadcasting funding in New Mexico! I'm so proud to have made it home in time to see the final bill pass!

Friday marks day 3 of the Republican government shutdown. My friend and colleague @repstansbury.bsky.social and I will be coming to you live on Instagram to discuss what’s next.
Join us on Friday at 3:30PM eastern / 1:30PM mountain and make sure to come with questions for us!
As my mother always told me, listen when people tell you who they are.
Today! My office is holding office hours to answer any of your questions.
“Maximize pain” — that is what the White House literally told the GOP their strategy is. Imagine responding to the fight for human dignity with a strategy for maximizing pain.
History will remember those who stood up, spoke out, and did what was right in this moment for the American people.
As Yom Kippur begins, wishing you a blessed and meaningful time for reflection, peace, renewal, and hope. 🕊️
I’ll be home Friday for a Community Town Hall at 4:00 pm MT at the Albuquerque Convention Center to answer any questions you have.
My team will also be holding office hours tomorrow morning at 11:00 am MT in Sandia Park!
RSVP for the Town Hall here: forms.office.com/g/hRza1grkPZ
While national Republicans have shut down the government, Democrats in NM are leading the way with a Special Session to fix healthcare, food assistance, and to protect our people.

Friends, it’s Wednesday afternoon—and the government is shut down. Here’s what’s up!
And, out office is open! And we want you to know we’re here to help. If you need anything at all, please call our New Mexico office at (505) 346-6781 or our DC office at (202) 225-6316.

We’re suing the Trump-Vance administration for threatening to conduct mass firings of federal employees if the government shuts down tonight.
Using people’s livelihoods as a bargaining chip is both cruel and illegal. That’s why we’ve joined forces with unions to protect these vital jobs.
We are definitely headed for a government shutdown tonight. Here’s why. ⬇️
Everyone, meet our newest Congresswoman, Adelita Grijalva!
Adelita was elected in a Special Election last Tuesday to fill the seat left by her father, a dear friend and beloved mentor. She was supposed to be sworn in this week—but the Speaker has shut down the House and not sworn her in.
It’s Tuesday morning and Dems showed up for work. But where’s the GOP? They’re not here. @repluzrivas.bsky.social
The Global Sumud Flotilla is set to arrive in Gaza in the next 24 hours. 50 boats from across the world, bringing aid and food to the people of Gaza.
We are calling for their safe passage, an end to the blockade, and unrestricted humanitarian aid to all those suffering! The world is watching.
