❌ Myth: “Costs were going to go way up. And that's what happened. And now I'm bringing them way down on health care and everything else.”
✅ FACT: ACA premiums have SKYROCKETED for over 22 million people because Trump and Senate Republicans have let these lifesaving tax credits EXPIRE. (3/4)
❌ Myth: “And as time goes by, I believe the tariffs paid for by foreign countries will…[take] a great financial burden off the people that I love.”
✅ FACT: Hardworking families have had to pay, on average, an additional $1,745 since February 2025 because of Trump's ill-thought-out tariffs. (2/4)
Last night, Trump spewed lies about some of his policies… let’s debunk a few of his claims.
❌ Myth: "In one year, we have lifted 2.4M Americans, a record, off of food stamps."
✅Fact: Millions of Americans are at risk of losing food assistance because their Big, Ugly Bill CUTS $187B from SNAP.(1/4)
@merkley.senate.gov & I will not stand idly while the Trump Administration & its ICE vigilantes terrorize our community.
That is why we introduced a new bill to allow people to sue ICE & CBP for violating their constitutional rights.
ICE must be held accountable to put a full stop to its abuses.
No one deserves to live their lives in fear of discrimination or hate because of who they are or who they love.
As a vice chair of the @equality.house.gov, I will not stop fighting until the Equality Act is the law of the land.
Trump and Republicans are making life harder — and more expensive — for women.
Costs are rising, health care is out of reach, and our safety is at risk.
My @demwomencaucus.bsky.social colleagues and I are fighting for a better future.
I am sad to hear about my former colleague and friend, Sen. Rod Monroe.
Sen. Monroe was dedicated to improving opportunities through education for all Oregonians so that everyone could lead healthy & happy lives. He leaves a lasting legacy, and my thoughts are with his wife, Billie, & their family.
"Pioneering American breakthroughs" by defunding science and undermining academia? This is wishful thinking and again he ends with a BIG FAT LIE.
Thank you to our service members who make untold sacrifices to uphold the values of our country and defend the Constitution. I wish your commander in chief would do the same.
Facts matter: The nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office also projected this week that tax changes in the Big Ugly Bill will harm Medicare’s long-term financing and speed up the exhaustion of the trust fund that pays for the program’s hospital care benefit.
Oregon's vote by mail system makes it easy to vote and difficult to cheat. Trump wants to shut it down. But the only way Trump feels he can win is by cheating. Whole new level of gaslighting.
Wow. "First duty is to protect American citizens." I drafted an amendment to the DHS bill that would have done just that and it was rejected! All talk.
Did Trump invite the families of Renee Good and Alex Pretti to the White House? His own ICE agents killed Americans on U.S. soil.
Hello Pot, it's Kettle. Yes, the one who leads the country in corruption, insider trading and crypto scheming. This is comical.
BIG FAT LIE. The Big Ugly Bill puts Medicare in jeopardy. I haven't seen any proposals to strengthen Social Security and ensure its solvency.
Why hasn't he shared this great health plan with Congress? Let's extend access to health care now. House already passed it--Rs and Ds. Pass the ACA premium tax credits NOW.

EXTEND THE LIFESAVING ACA HEALTH CARE TAX CREDITS NOW!!!!!!
Reposted byCongresswoman Andrea Salinas
That largest tax cut was for billionaires and paid for with your SNAP and Medicaid benefits
Here we go...unfortunate ruling came down from SCOTUS. He can't even say the word "tariff." I thought it was his favorite word.
Trump is building a nation where today's kids will NEVER be able to retire! He gave massive tax cuts to his billionaire bros while taking away health care from millions and adding a trillion dollars to the national debt.
