The holiday season isn’t always easy. Please know there are free resources available for you to access if you are experiencing a crisis. #MentalHealthMonday

Are you SNOW excited that today is the first day of winter, #OR06! Sending joy and warmth to you and your families as we enter the new season ☃️
Happy birthday to the U.S. Space Force! 🥳
As a member of the Committee on Science, Space, and Technology, I’m grateful for the Guardians who are working to advance our security and innovation on the final frontier. 🔭
December is Safe Toys & Gifts Month 🧸 Playing with toys should not come at the cost of the health and safety of some of our youngest citizens.
✅ Before giving a gift this year, make sure to inspect the toy’s safety and age range.
Learn more about tips and related toy recalls below ⤵️
There are now enough signatures on a discharge petition to force a vote to extend the lifesaving health care tax credits that millions of Americans deserve.
Speaker Johnson, during this holiday season, where is your compassion to help those who need it most?
As Ranking Member of the House Ag Forestry & Horticulture Subcommittee, I have repeatedly called them out — including by leading a letter demanding action to clear dangerous brush & meet basic safety standards.
Now, reports confirm these ongoing failures under President Trump. (2/2)

Every year, Americans enjoy our nation’s public lands. Sadly, the Trump Administration’s mismanagement of the Forest Service has left these lands in dangerous disrepair. (1/2)
Since taking office, Donald Trump and Republicans have unleashed reckless policies like the chaotic tariffs and their Big, Ugly Bill.
Now the results are in:
✅ Unemployment is rising
✅ Jobs are being lost
✅ Life is getting even more expensive
You can thank Republicans for this mess.
❗️NEW❗️ You can now read my full year in review on my website by visiting salinas.house.gov/2025EOY.

In two weeks, Ariya will lose her health insurance unless Congress acts.
Sadly, Speaker Johnson sent the House home until NEXT YEAR, which is after the deadline to extend the ACA tax credits, the same ones that Ariya relies on.
I refuse to let this happen.

I met with Oregon Health & Science University President Dr. Shareef Elnahal in my D.C. office to discuss their impactful work — from groundbreaking research to delivering world-class patient care.
We will continue working together to ensure OHSU remains a leader in innovative, high-quality care.
President Trump spends more time pretending there’s no affordability problem and passing the blame around than actually trying to fix anything.
Distractions won’t help pay the bills. Only action will.
Today is the 3rd anniversary of the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act!
This historic legislation gave pregnant & postpartum workers the right to accommodations like extra breaks, flexible scheduling, time off to recover from childbirth or miscarriage, and much more. #PWFA
On International Migrants Day, I stand with those seeking safety and opportunity.
The Trump Administration’s cruel and inhumane policies have caused needless suffering across our country and undermined our American values.
Migrants deserve dignity, fairness, and an opportunity to contribute.
Yesterday, I spoke on the House Floor in opposition to a bill that would fine and jail parents and health care providers who assist children in accessing gender-affirming care.
This bill will only worsen the youth mental health crisis and, disturbingly, invade children's privacy.
It's gross.
Today, I proudly stood on the steps of the Capitol alongside my @housedemocrats.bsky.social colleagues to call out Mike Johnson for avoiding a vote on extending the Affordable Care Act premium enhanced tax credits.
Speaker Johnson, do the right thing and lower the cost of living for our neighbors.
There are enough signers on the discharger petition to force a vote to extend premiums, and if Speaker Johnson does not act NOW, 16,000 Oregonians in #OR06 are at risk of seeing their premiums SOAR.
We don’t want a vote next week or next year, we want a vote TODAY.
Mike Johnson, do the right thing and extend these lifesaving premiums before it’s too late.
From returning money back to our neighbors to introducing bills that could improve our community, 2025 has been a year of wins for #OR06!
There's more work to get done in 2026, but I remain committed to working for YOU 🫵
