Just joined @tinakotek.bsky.social, Mayor Keith Wilson, @repbonamici.bsky.social, and my state, local, and federal colleagues to speak out against Trump sending federal troops to Oregon. We don't need them, and we don't want them. Hear more:
We then held a roundtable discussion where veterans shared their experiences, including the ongoing support they need. We also discussed what can be done at the federal level to fulfill our commitment to them. Thank you, @reptedlieu.bsky.social, for joining us in #OR06! (2/2)
Yesterday, I had the opportunity to tour Easterseals in #Salem with @reptedlieu.bsky.social. We learned more about the essential services they provide to veterans and their families, such as affordable housing and employment opportunities. (1/2)
My legislation reinforces this legal precedent and would help reign-in an out-of-control President. Members of the National Guard are trained to protect our homeland and respond in times of crisis, not to target hardworking immigrants who contribute to our communities. (3/3)
While existing law already restricts the President’s ability to deploy the National Guard for immigration and domestic law enforcement, this Administration has shown no respect for the rule of law. (2/3)
NEW BILL ‼️Follow the thread to learn more my legislation👇 The National Guard should not be used as a political tool for the White House or for ICE to enforce this Administration's inhumane and harmful immigration policies. (1/3)
Your health insurance may spike when you go to re-enroll because Republicans are not renewing the enhanced tax credit, which helps lower your health care costs. This is in addition to their massive Medicaid cuts in the Big, Ugly Tax Scam. Republicans are just making life harder & more expensive.
Instead of working to prevent a shutdown, Republicans cancelled votes and left D.C. I joined 55 of my Democratic colleagues in calling on Speaker Johnson to stop playing politics, come to the table, and work for the hardworking American people.
Congress must get back to work to fund the government ahead of the looming shutdown deadline. Rep. Vasquez and I are leading @housedemocrats.bsky.social who are ready to return to Washington for the American people.
Hear directly from me, Beaverton Mayor Beaty, City Council President Kimmi, and Deputy Consul General Park as we discuss strengthening community relationships and addressing anti-Asian hate. Watch the full video to learn more 🎧⬇️
Last week, I met with the Oregon Association of Nurseries to discuss their work in supporting our farmers and producers. As a member of House Agriculture Committee, I am dedicated to ensuring that our #OR06 agricultural priorities are included in a fair Farm Bill.
La administración Trump ha instruido a ICE que perfile racialmente, intimide y detenga a nuestras comunidades latinas e inmigrantes. (1/4)
Trump and Secretary Noem are abusing their power to create fear, trauma, and terror in our immigrant communities. @salinas.house.gov and I introduced a resolution to make it clear that our communities are suffering at the hands of an out-of-control Administration and their terror force—ICE.
These targeted orders are causing unnecessary stress, depression, & anxiety within our immigrant communities, & they must end. I am proud to support this resolution with @ramirez.house.gov in recognizing the negative mental health impacts of President Trump’s blatant immigration overreach. (2/2)
The Trump Admin has instructed ICE to racially profile, intimidate, & detain our Latino & immigrant communities. As a result, young children are missing school, parents are missing work, & families are living in fear due to the threat of deportation or, worse, separation from their loved ones.(1/2)

We are days away from a preventable shutdown. @housedemocrats.bsky.social are ready to negotiate with Republicans to find a solution that keeps the government open and lowers health care costs…but President Trump CANCELED scheduled talks. Republicans will be responsible for this shutdown.
