I introduced the Evidence-Based Drug Policy Act which would allow the Office of National Drug Control Policy to research cannabis usage in the United States without penalty. I’ll always fight for common sense cannabis policy. The federal government needs to catch up to the states.
Today I stood alongside members of the Equality Caucus to celebrate the reintroduction of the #EqualityAct. This legislation is a critical step towards securing LGBTQ+ rights and is long overdue.
Like Mother Jones said, “Pray for the dead and fight like hell for the living.” On Workers’ Memorial Day, we honor the people who lost their lives or were injured while on the job. I will continue fighting for safer working conditions for everyone.
I attended the 110th Armenian Genocide Remembrance Day Vigil in Las Vegas. We reflected on the atrocities perpetrated by the Turks, and we committed ourselves to achieving justice.
Every day is indeed Earth Day. We should always work to safeguard our environment. Thank you Nevada Plants for hosting this wonderful tree planting event and for the work you do to care for our planet.
We must protect Social Security for the thousands of Southern Nevadans who rely on those benefits to afford their basic needs. POTUS and House Republicans are threatening your hard earned benefits by cutting federal jobs and pushing for privatization of Social Security.
On this Armenian Genocide Remembrance Day, we honor the 1.5 million victims who were brutalized by the Ottomans 110 years ago. I'm proud to represent a vibrant Armenian diaspora in Nevada, and I will continue to seek justice for the atrocities committed.
Earlier this year, I led a letter to Secretary of Interior Doug Burgum urging him not to roll back designations of national monuments. Unfortunately, Sec. Burgum is seeking to attack our public lands and open them up to drilling and mining. This is unacceptable. news.bloomberglaw.com/environment-...
We have already returned over $1.25 million in the first quarter of 2025 to constituents in VA, Social Security, Medicare, and other benefits. Team Titus will continue delivering for the folks #OnlyinDistrictOne.
I spoke at the Las Vegas Sphere’s Second Annual XO Student Design Challenge. I highlighted the importance of the Sphere’s sustainability efforts and congratulated the eight student finalists on their artwork being exhibited.
I attended the grand opening of the Dolores Huerta Resource Center in North Las Vegas. The new center will offer a variety of resources in English and Spanish including tutoring services, legal support, technology trainings, workforce development, and healthcare.
I participated in UNLV’s Office of Undergraduate Research Policy Discussion where I described my work as a Member of Congress and discussed some of my policy priorities with over a hundred students.
#EarthDay is a time for us to reflect on how we can better care for the place we call home. I hope you’ll take a moment today to go outside and appreciate the wonders of our planet.
