I'm thankful for the brave law enforcement officers who responded to the scenes of both of these horrific shootings.
My heart breaks for the victims, their families, and student communities at both Wilmer-Hutchins High School and Florida State University.

While police in Dallas were updating the public on a school shooting at a high school, news of another shooting at Florida State University broke.
This is the America our kids are growing up in — and it’s unacceptable.
Congress can do more to end this crisis. And we must.
Folks, the research speaks for itself: bell-to-bell cellphone restrictions are the most effective way to help students learn and grow at school.
That's why I'm leading the UNPLUGGED Act to get phones out of the classroom.
🪪REMINDER: Starting May 7, all U.S. travelers need a REAL ID or other acceptable form of identification — like a passport — to fly and access certain federal facilities.

This week, my team was glad to present a letter at the Prince William County Department of Public Safety Session 53 Graduation and Promotion Ceremony. It was wonderful to celebrate these talented, service-minded Virginians committed to bettering their community.
I am deeply grateful that Governor Shapiro and his family are safe. There is no place for violence in our discourse.
Historians will look back on Trump’s tariff war as one of the dumbest, most damaging policy moves in modern history.
He didn’t just miss the mark — he lit the global economy on fire.
In Virginia, Black women are more than 2x as likely to die during childbirth than white women.
This #BlackMaternalHealthWeek, may we redouble our efforts to make sure that all women get the health care they need. We can — and must — put an end to these health disparities.
Eighteen years ago today, tragedy struck the Virginia Tech community when 32 lives were taken and 23 others wounded in a horrific mass shooting on campus.
My heart is with the families who lost loved ones and all those who still carry the weight of that day.
FRIDAY: My team is headed to King George County for in-person office hours!
Stop by the L.E. Smoot Memorial Library from 12:00pm - 3:00pm if you’re having an issue with a federal agency, program, or benefit.
My team will do their best to assist you.
This morning, my team enjoyed checking out the community health and wellness expo at Gar-Field High School in Woodbridge.
At this event, the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc. provided free health screenings and vital health education resources to our neighbors in Prince William County.
This is completely unacceptable. 20+ days since Signalgate and no resignations or Congressional investigations. The credibility of our national defense is on the line. #Signalgate
Last week, my team had a great time at the annual Prince William County Coles District Easter Egg Hunt.
Thank you to everyone who came out to play games and meet the Easter Bunny at this great event!
🚨VA-07: This is a friendly reminder that today is Tax Day — except for residents of Greene and Madison, who have an extension until May 1 due to Hurricane Helene.
If you run into any issues, reach out to my office at (703) 987-2180 and we will do our best to assist you.
Trump’s tariffs are leaving rural America in the dust — tanking global markets and making farmers pay the price.
It doesn’t have to be this way. It’s time to end these tariffs and work across the aisle to bring down costs for our producers.
We’re seeing something amazing in phone-free classrooms: more conversation, eye contact, and laughter.
When we remove phones from the equation, kids reconnect — with each other and with themselves.
That’s what my UNPLUGGED Act is all about.
I'm proud of all that I've accomplished in my first 100 days serving residents of Virginia's Seventh District in Congress, and we are just getting started! We have much more work to do.
Every case we open, every call we return, every event we attend — it all comes back to one thing: making sure we are delivering real results for the Seventh District.
Read more about how I've delivered on these promises in my first 100 days in office 👇
I came to Congress to lower costs, strengthen our schools, protect personal freedoms, and make sure every community has a fair chance at achieving the American Dream.
For the past 100 days, I've been working tirelessly to make good on that promise.
WEDNESDAY 4/23: I'm hosting an in-person town hall at Germanna Community College in Culpeper, Virginia.
Please bring your thoughts, ideas, and questions.
I hope to see you there! Sign up to join this important conversation👇
