Today I demanded that the Committee subpoena Stephen Miller to answer why the administration includes antisemites and why they are defunding the Department of Education’s Office of Civil Rights, actions that will increase rather than curb antisemitism.

Political violence has no place in America and must not ever be tolerated. I condemn in the strongest terms the disturbing murder of Charlie Kirk on a college campus in Utah.
These two nurses know what it was like before vaccines started saving lives. Federal policies under Sec. Robert Kennedy Jr. are harming public health and will cost lives. He should resign.
Follow the science and get vaccinated!
Donald Trump - stop militarizing our cities. We don't need it. We don't want it.
No one should be targeted because of the color of their skin, the language they speak, or where they work. This fight is not over. For the good of the country and the Constitution, the Supreme Court should recognize that profiling is discriminatory and un-American.
The United States Supreme Court is allowing federal immigration agents to profile individuals based on race, ethnicity, language, or employment while an underlying case is pending. This decision is extremely disappointing and unbelievably cruel.
The House Committee on Oversight got access to Donald Trump's lewd birthday note to repeated sex trafficker and sex offender Jeffrey Epstein – the note Trump has repeatedly said doesn't exist. What else are they hiding? Release the files.
I’m leading legislation to protect Portland and cities across the country from occupation by unwanted federal law enforcement and armed forces. This authoritarian behavior cannot be tolerated.
We remember the last time Donald Trump deployed unidentified federal officers to Portland, and we do not want to repeat that dark time. Oregonians should not have to live in fear of Trump’s intimidation and penchant for violence.
This bill would reduce the health effects of extreme heat and strengthen interagency response to heat emergencies. As the climate crisis is fueling longer, deadlier heat waves and record temperatures, we must act now to save lives.
Senator Markey and I reintroduced the Preventing Health Emergencies and Temperature-related Illness and Deaths Act to protect Oregonians and Americans from the dangerous health effects of extreme heat.
With the Trump administration’s systematic attacks on immigrants, it’s critical to #knowyourrights.
Immigrants and mixed-status families are invaluable members of our cities, state, and country. Thank you to @agdanrayfield.bsky.social for creating an Immigration Services and Support Resources Toolkit.
It’s a good investment to fund affordable housing and support services for people experiencing or at-risk of experiencing homelessness. To address these challenges, we need a coordinated response from every level of government and community partners—and this project is a powerful example of that.
I will continue to champion policies that support freedom, fairness, and security for working Oregonians.
I'm grateful for the opportunity to welcome union members from across Oregon to the Oregon AFL-CIO convention in Seaside. Workers are the backbone of our economy, but are too often asked to do more and more with less and less.
I helped secure more than $250 million to rebuild the jetties, and I’m excited to see the progress made in protecting this infrastructure that’s so critical for Oregon’s economy.
Today we celebrated the completion of reconstruction of the South Jetty at the mouth of the Columbia River. The jetties allow ships to safely carry more than $24 billion through a stretch of water so dangerous mariners called it the “graveyard of the Pacific.”
The campus will help grow the workforce, expand opportunities for more people to enter the field, and build more affordable, sustainable housing.
The lack of affordable housing is something I hear about throughout Oregon, and the Port of Portland’s Mass Timber and Housing Innovation Campus is part of the solution.
