What is just as outrageous is the silence from Mike Johnson and Republican leadership. Their continued refusal to condemn this bigotry sends a clear message: this behavior is tolerated and protected within their caucus.

That same moral failure was on full display this weekend. The vile, Islamophobic comments made by Randy Fine were not a mistake or a slip of the tongue. They were a deliberate act of hatred.
Republicans in Congress have abandoned any pretense of leadership or accountability. Day after day, they allow Donald Trump and his administration to traffic in extremism, cruelty, and dangerous rhetoric without consequence.
May this month bring peace and strength to all who observe, and may this holy season of compassion continue to inspire our communities around the world.
In this moment, when acts of intolerance and hateful rhetoric continue to harm communities across our country, we are reminded of our shared responsibility to treat one another with dignity, respect, and humanity, and to reject hatred in all its forms.
As Ramadan begins, I extend my warm wishes to Muslim communities observing this important and sacred month of reflection, generosity, and service to others.
House Democrats remain firmly committed to lowering costs, strengthening our economy, and fighting every day for working families.
The harm caused by the irresponsible and deeply misguided economic agenda of this Trump administration of grifters is real, and families across the country are paying the price.
In Ventura County and the Conejo Valley, families are paying an average of $1,980 more as a direct result of these policies, and the affordability crisis continues to deepen.

Wishing everyone who celebrates a joyful and prosperous New Year. May the year ahead bring health, happiness, and opportunity. #LunarNewYear2026 #YearOfTheFireHorse
May we honor his legacy not only in words, but in action — carrying the spirit of hope forward and continuing the work he believed in so deeply.
My prayers are with his family, loved ones, and all who were inspired by his life and leadership.
Our nation mourns the loss of a civil rights giant, a champion for what is right, and a steadfast advocate for those whose voices too often went unheard. His message to “Keep hope alive” inspired generations and continues to guide the ongoing struggle for a more equitable America.
Reverend Jesse Jackson spent his life fighting for justice, equality, and the fundamental dignity of all people. Through courage, faith, and an unwavering belief in the power of hope, he helped change the course of American history for the better.
Thank you to all the students and teachers who took part in this beloved tradition and helped make sure our veterans felt appreciated this Valentine’s Day.
I am always inspired by our young people’s heartfelt commitment to uplifting those who have served our nation in uniform. Thanks to their efforts, local veterans throughout our region received more than 1,000 Valentine’s Day cards this year.
Every year, my office is proud to host #ValentinesforVets with students from across California’s 26th Congressional District.
This is wholly unacceptable. Pam Bondi should end the theatrics and resign immediately. The American people deserve competent, accountable leadership that will deliver justice and uphold the law.
At the same time, the Department of Justice has failed to protect survivors’ privacy, releasing names and sensitive images while still failing to meet its legal obligations under the Epstein Files Transparency Act.
