👋Julia Brownley here, your Member of Congress proudly representing Ventura County and the Conejo Valley.
I am working to uphold the promise of Medicare and Medicaid and to ensure every American can get the care they need, when they need it.
Meanwhile, Republicans passed the largest Medicaid cut in U.S. history. They are slashing Medicare, and they are putting lives and livelihoods at risk.
Democrats created these critical programs, and today, we are the ones fighting to protect and strengthen them.
For 60 years, Medicare and Medicaid have been lifelines for millions of Americans, providing the care they need and the dignity they deserve.
It is unacceptable that children and families in America live in constant fear for their lives and safety. Congress and this administration must act and pass real, commonsense gun safety legislation that saves lives.
The recent wave of mass shootings across the U.S. is a tragic reminder that the gun violence epidemic continues to touch every community.
My thoughts are with the injured victims and with the families and loved ones now facing unimaginable grief.
Sadly, our community knows the pain of gun violence all too well. I am heartbroken to learn that the recent shooting in Reno took the lives of two young men from Thousand Oaks, Justin Agulia and Andrew Canepa, a father and local business owner.
I will keep pushing back against their cruelty, extremism, and misplaced priorities, and I will keep fighting for a future where every family gets a fair shot.

This tour is nothing more than a political stunt to distract from the real harm Donald Trump and House Republicans are inflicting on the American people.
Make no mistake about it, this bill is a disaster for working families. It rips health care away from more than 15 million people, cuts critical food assistance for families and seniors, and gives billionaires massive tax cuts – all paid for on the backs of hard-working Americans.
This weekend, House Republicans brought their tour of disinformation on Trump’s Big Ugly Bill to the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in #SimiValley.

⚠️ Attention Ventura County and Los Angeles County residents! Following the 8.7 earthquake in Russia, a tsunami watch has been issued for the West Coast, including our coastal communities.
Check out my new Holding the Trump Administration Accountable page that details how House Democrats are using every tool at our disposal to hold this administration accountable, protect our communities, and safeguard the fundamental rights of the American people.
I know many of you are feeling anxious, angry, and overwhelmed. I hear your concerns, and I share your outrage. That’s why I’m working every day to hold this administration accountable.
