Yesterday, New Dem Vice Chair @carbajal.house.gov, @beyer.house.gov, and @repjimcosta.bsky.social met with local small business owners to hear firsthand how they're being affected by Trump's reckless economic and immigration policies and discuss how New Dems can continue supporting Main Street.
Republicans are trying to install Trump lawyer Todd Blanche atop the Justice Department. His record: - Epstein files coverup - Pardons for J6ers who attacked police - Corrupt Trump slush fund - Mass purge of career prosecutors It's awful that he's even being considered for AG.
It's good that Trump is backing down from his brainless idea, which Marco Rubio previously described as illegal, that would further raise prices. Unfortunately it comes too late to undo damage to the global economy from Trump's crazed directives. This war is a disaster.
ICE under Trump, Mullin, and Stephen Miller is a lawless paramilitary force inflicting violence and chaos on American communities. We can't accept the killing of innocent people, most recently in Texas and Maine. ICE is beyond fixing—we should just dismantle it and start over.
Trump was asked what Americans should expect in his war with Iran, which has already lasted many times longer than he promised. He responded with a comparison to the Vietnam War. This is insane.
Donald Trump has turned the presidency into the most lucrative business venture of his life, nearly tripling his net worth. It's repulsive. This level of self-dealing is unlike anything we’ve seen from any other President and my Republican colleagues should stop enabling it.
When families lose SNAP or Medicaid, they may also lose access to other supports for which they are eligible, including free school meals. These ripple effects can reduce children’s access to essential nutrition and increase hardship for families. https://ampr.gs/3SJsqm4
Trump tried to game the courts to bless an illegal scheme to siphon nearly $2 billion in taxpayer dollars into a slush fund and shield his family from tax audits. The courts saw through it, shut it down, and referred administration lawyers for possible disciplinary action.
NEW: A federal judge said President Trump attempted to manipulate the courts, concocting a lawsuit to justify the settlement that established the "anti-weaponization" fund and shielded his family from IRS scrutiny. w/ @hassankanu.bsky.social www.politico.com/news/2026/07...
For decades, the Endangered Species Act allowed America to innovate without harming wildlife. This move by the Trump administration will have catastrophic impacts on endangered species and the habitats that support them.
Breaking News: The Trump administration moved to open the habitats of imperiled animals to farming, drilling, mining and other development. Environmentalists characterized it as the most severe erosion of protections for wildlife in half a century. www.nytimes.com/2026/07/10/c...

For over 200 years free and fair elections have been the cornerstone of our democracy. Donald Trump is interfering with the independent institutions that help run our elections, we're going to do everything we can to ensure that your right to vote is protected in November.
President Trump fired members of the bipartisan Elections Assistance Commission less than two weeks after the Supreme Court gave him broad leeway to reshape boards that were designed to be independent. Read more: https://wapo.st/4bvcR7N
Students are expected to pay more for school, all to pay for tax breaks for billionaires and corporations. We need people with advanced degrees make our country strong, so those degrees must be affordable for all. Trump and Republicans put those degrees farther out of reach. 4/4
