This Republican health care crisis will hurt women, children, and underserved communities.
I joined the @demwomencaucus.bsky.social to visit Sydney Kraemer Upcountry Regional Center that provides essential health care — but its services are at risk thanks to Trump and Republicans’ attacks on Americans’ health care that will raise costs.
Republicans control the House, the Senate, and the White House — they own this shutdown.
@housedemocrats.bsky.social have been ready to and find a bipartisan solution to reopen the government and protect YOUR health care — House Republicans packed up, went home, and shutdown the government.
Trump and Republicans shut down the government because they’re fine taking away or making health insurance unaffordable for Americans. It’s that simple.
I joined @debbiedingell.house.gov and advocates from @littlelobbyists.com to hear how health care cuts would harm children with disabilities and their families.

G’mar chatima tova! For everyone observing Yom Kippur, I wish you a meaningful fast and a peaceful day of reflection.
Instead of working with Democrats to fix the health care crisis they created, Trump and Republicans drove us into a shutdown. @housedemocrats.bsky.social want to reopen the government while lowering health care costs.
Kaiser Family Foundation estimates now show health care premiums will MORE THAN DOUBLE if Republicans fail to extend health care tax credits that help Americans afford to see the doctor or get medicine they need.
Our new analysis shows that the average increase in out-of-pocket premium payments from the expiration of the ACA enhanced premium tax credits is *even higher* than previously estimated.

I sat down with @repmarcveasey.bsky.social on @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social’s Stop the Republican Shutdown livestream to highlight the devastating effects of cuts to health care.
Health care tax credits keep health care accessible and affordable for millions of Americans — instead of working with Democrats to lower health care costs, Republicans shut down the government.
