Families shouldn’t have to choose between paying bills and buying their kids’ school supplies. But Trump’s reckless tariffs are driving up prices—making back-to-school season more expensive for every parent. We need solutions that lower costs, not politics that make life harder.

Called out Trump’s reckless decision to cancel union contracts at #LongBeach VA alongside #AFGE, AFGE Local 1061, & LA Labor Fed.
I’ll keep fighting to protect workers’ rights & ensure veterans get the care they earned. #HouseDemocrats continue to show up to #HonorOurVeterans & #StandUpForWorkers!
Met with seniors today at #Lynwood Senior Center to mark 90 yrs of Social Security benefits for hardworking Americans - and to hear how Trump’s cuts have made it harder to get benefits you’ve earned.
Reminder on this #SaveSocialSecurity Day of Action: It’s YOUR money. YOUR benefits. OUR promise.
Welcome back to school, #LAUSD students!
Today at Carson Academies of Education and Empowerment, I was joined by LAUSD Superintendent Carvalho where we heard from high school students earning college credit through the Dual Enrollment program — saving time and money for our best & brightest!
Trump & Republicans Big Ugly Law screws working families to give even more to the rich and elite.
Don't take my word for it — that's what the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office just found.
Wish I could say I’m surprised, but this is exactly what we should expect at this point.
Thank you to all our veterans for the sacrifices you made to protect our freedom. @HouseDemocrats.bsky.social will never forget and never stop fighting to make sure our veterans receive the care they deserve.
Our veterans have given and done so much for our country. We showed our appreciation by honoring several of our #CA44 Purple Hearts recipients!
This is an embarrassment to the career men & women of DOJ and a slap in the face to our brave law enforcement officers who protected our democracy on Jan. 6.
This guy should be sitting in a jail cell not behind a desk at DOJ — spineless Republicans will continue to say and do nothing.
Trump put a Jan. 6 rioter— who repeatedly urged the crowd to “kill” Capitol Police and other officers at the Capitol as they were being brutally assaulted by Trump’s mob —in a senior position at the Department of Justice.

@housedemocrats.bsky.social respect and fight for our veterans — that’s why we’re holding a Veterans Day of Action across the country to do all that we can to reverse these cuts and get our veterans the care they need and deserve.
Trump and House Republicans are laying off tens of thousands of staff at the VA and making it harder for our veterans to access the care and benefits they earned.
They went after food vendors, day laborers, and people in the parking lot. If you were Latino you were a target — period.
This is sick. Near MacArthur Park in LA, a bunch of ICE and other federal agents hiding in a moving truck and then jumping out like they’re in some kind of movie to chase down Latinos in a Home Depot parking lot.
@housedemocrats.bsky.social will keep fighting to support the dreams of our American students who want to give back to our communities.
Trump & House Republicans’ Big Ugly Law will make it more difficult for our young students to pursue advanced professional degrees —especially students from disadvantaged communities. This means we could lose out on talented future American doctors and other professionals.

Nuclear reactor on the moon? Who asked for this!!??
You’ll take health care away and food off the table of hardworking Americans but you have billions to spend on this? Man, your priorities are messed up.

@housedemocrats.bsky.social will continue to fight for Medicaid and other life-saving programs.

More lies incoming!
First billionaire Elon Musk was against the Big Ugly Law — now he supports it. He wants to make sure Trump & Republicans keep taking health care & food assistance from the American people so billionaires like him can get bigger tax breaks.
We’ve seen the worst job numbers since COVID, his tariffs are jacking up prices, & his policies are driving up food, health care, and utility costs.
Trump doesn’t give a shit about bringing costs down for Americans. He hasn’t done a damn thing to make it better.
Unemployment is rising. Prices are surging. And Trump and Congressional Republicans’ reckless economic agenda is to blame.
