Republicans’ response to Americans kicked off health care and forced to go hungry and people dying because of THEIR bill — “Well, we all are going to die”.
While they’re fine with YOU dying — they want to make sure billionaires can buy another plane, or yacht, or mansion.

On today’s Democratic Daily Download, Rep. Josh Harder explains how devastating Medicaid cuts in the Republican tax bill will be for families and communities across America. That’s why Democrats are fighting back with all we’ve got.
Yesterday, I was joined by Mayor Peggy Lemons of #Paramount and Mother’s Nutritional Center to oppose funding cuts to food assistance and to let our community know that @housedemocrats.bsky.social will keep fighting so our communities don’t go hungry.
House Republicans voted to take food away from millions of Americans by pushing through the largest cuts to SNAP benefits in US history— just to give tax cuts to billionaires.

On today’s Democratic Daily Download, Rep. Robert Garcia discusses the GOP's latest attack on the American people, handing huge tax breaks for billionaires while slashing health care and basic needs programs for working class people. Democrats will keep fighting to stop this scam.
I applaud law firms WilmerHale, Jenner & Block, Perkins Cole, and Susman Godfrey who’ve stood up and shown a backbone and a commitment to their legal principles — instead of caving to Trump’s bullying and bribery.
Trump has targeted law firms to intimidate, solicit legal representation, silence dissent, and erode the rule of law — he wants to stop lawyers from representing clients and causes he doesn’t like. That’s what dictators do.
Three federal judges have now ruled Trump's attempts to punish law firms based solely on who they represented or lawyers who worked there are unconstitutional.

The entire CA Democratic Delegation stands strongly in favor of the program. Was proud to lead a letter calling on the Trump Administration to protect Head Start funding. Over 94,000 of California’s kids and families are counting on us.
Head Start is a critical tool that allows kids to access the individual care and education they need to succeed.
This week, I visited a classroom in #Lynwood to see and hear up close from parents and the kids.

On today's Democratic Daily Download, @usrepkathycastor.bsky.social explains how the GOP Tax Scam will increase electric bills for families and small businesses by ripping away investments in clean energy.
Americans deserve access to life-saving information, no matter what language they speak. Let’s get this done.
Multilingual emergency alerts save lives.
That’s why I just held a press conference w/ FCC Commissioner Anna Gomez (agomezfcc.bsky.social), Carson Mayor Lula Davis-Holmes, & Carson City Councilmember Arleen Rojas to urge the FCC Chair to take immediate action to implement these multilingual alerts.

On top of massive cuts to health care and food assistance, Republicans hid several provisions in their tax scam that will spell disaster for working families.
In today’s Democratic Daily Download, @salinas.house.gov breaks down what the GOP doesn’t want you to know about their reckless bill.
We can’t afford more delays— lives depend on it.

In natural disasters & emergencies, alerts save lives—but they’re not accessible to the millions whose first language isn’t English.
I led a letter with current & former Tri-Caucus leaders and top Senate Telecomm Democrat @lujan.senate.gov, urging the FCC Chair to implement multilingual alerts now.

On Memorial Day, @crow.house.gov encourages all Americans to recognize and honor the sacrifice of the men and women who fought and died for our country and all it represents.
Today, we remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice and gave their lives for our country.
We will always remember their courage and selflessness in defense of our freedoms. #MemorialDay
5 years ago, our system failed George Floyd.
His murder reminds us we must fight for a world where Black & Brown Americans don’t fear encounters with law enforcement. It is imperative we push for criminal justice/law enforcement reforms that center de-escalation, accountability, & racial justice.

This week, Republicans tried to jam through their tax scam in the dead of night. Democrats fought back to expose this bill's cuts to Medicaid and SNAP.
In today’s Democratic Daily Download, @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social explains how we will keep standing up for hardworking American taxpayers.
