As the demand for mental health care grows, we need real solutions to help recruit and retain mental health professionals in the communities that need them most. I’m proud to introduce the More Behavioral Health Providers Act to help increase access to these essential services.

Last week, I joined @endcitizensunited.bsky.social President Tiffany Muller for a conversation about how we can end the influence of dark money in our democracy and return power to the people. I’m pushing a comprehensive anti-corruption agenda to do just that.

Today, I voted NO on a package that would send more funding to the Department of Homeland Security.
Public service is meant to serve the people, not enrich those in power. I’m proud to support the Restore Trust in Congress Act to BAN Congressional stock trading. It’s just common sense.
💕Join me in showing your appreciation for #IL13’s hometown heroes by writing a Valentine's Day card for our local veterans! Mail or drop off your cards at one of my district offices by February 10th!
Happy Black History Month! This month, join me in celebrating the extraordinary achievements of Black Americans who have made their mark on our country, our culture, and our communities. Black history IS American history.
Americans deserve to know that when they send their mail-in ballots, bill payments, or tax returns that the postmark will reflect the day that they put it in the mail. I’m leading a letter to the Postmaster General demanding that he reverse his new postmark policy.
Last year, President Trump and Republicans in Congress slashed Medicaid funding and let critical ACA tax credits expire – plunging America into a health care crisis.
To truly tackle affordability, we need to reverse these cruel cuts.

Time and again, President Trump has abused the presidential pardon and used his power to enrich himself and his family. I’m backing the Presidential Accountability Amendment to affirm a simple truth: no one is above the law.
Year-round E15 would create critical markets for our farmers AND help lower prices at the gas pump. I am going to keep pushing to get Illinois growers the certainty they deserve.
Elected leaders must be accountable to the people they serve, not corporate interests and wealthy donors. I’m backing the Citizens Over Corporations Amendment and the Disclose Act to overturn Citizens United and get dark money out of our politics.
I met with the management of Sangamon Towers last week to address the serious health and safety concerns at the apartment building. We’re going to keep working to improve conditions for residents because everyone deserves a safe place to call home.
The American people have been clear - the way Washington operates doesn’t best serve everyday people, and this administration is hellbent on exploiting every loophole possible.
Corruption isn’t partisan. It’s about fairness, accountability, and restoring trust. That’s what this agenda does.
Step 6 – Reigning in Prediction Markets
Members of Congress and top officials shouldn’t be betting on world events they might have insider knowledge about. That’s a loophole I’m working to close – fast. Stay tuned on that one.
Step 5 – We need to pass the Supreme Court Ethics, Recusal, and Transparency Act and the DISCLOSE Act.
If you’re spending big money to influence elections – or judicial nominations – the public deserves to know who’s paying. These bills would mandate that.
Step 4 – We need real ethics rules for the Supreme Court. That’s why I support the High Court Gift Ban Act.
That means no luxury gifts. No secret donors. No shadow lobbying. Justices should follow the same ethical standards as everyone else.
Step 3 – We need to BAN stock trading in Congress.
If you make the laws, you shouldn’t be able to trade on inside information. It’s common-sense.
Step 2 – End Presidential Immunity.
No one is above the law – not even the president. With so much blatant corruption happening in the White House, I’m backing an amendment to END presidential immunity and ban self-pardons.
Step 1 – End Citizens United
In Congress, I support a constitutional amendment to STOP corporations and dark money from buying our elections.
