On 12/5, the 5 Ethics Committee Republicans will have another chance to release the Gaetz report and to be honest & transparent with the American People. I hope they'll do the right thing. But we can't count on it. That's why I introduced a resolution to force the release of the report.

Republicans on the Ethics Committee had the chance to do the right thing & release the damning report on Matt Gaetz. They didn’t. So today I introduced a resolution to force transparency. The American people deserve to know the truth before the Senate votes on whether to confirm Gaetz.
I spoke from the House floor last Thursday after Trump announced he would nominate Gaetz for AG. I had a resolution ready to go in case the Ethics Committee failed to act. Today they failed, so—as a longtime Judiciary & former Ethics Cmte. member—I filed a resolution to release the report.

I filed a privileged resolution, giving notice of my intent to proceed on a requirement for the ethics committee to keep the report on Matt Gaetz and release it to the public
The Gaetz report needs to be released, not just because Americans deserve to know who he is but as a teaching moment for Congress. Members should know they can't dodge consequences for violations of ethics—ESPECIALLY if they're seeking higher office. That won't happen if the report isn't released.
The allegations against Gaetz are so serious that he RESIGNED to try & hide the Ethics report. There's precedent for releasing these reports after Members resign, but more important is that Gaetz isn't just running away from government—he's seeking even higher office. This info MUST be released.
There's no question that Putin started this war. No one else. He thought invading #Ukraine would be a walk in the park. Well it wasn't. Ukraine has fought bravely, & while I don't have much hope for continued support under Trump, I promise they'll have mine in the fight against Putin. #SlavaUkraini

The Ethics Committee should work in a bipartisan way—like it did when I was on it. All 5 Democrats will vote to release the Matt Gaetz report. But will even just ONE Republican have the courage to stand up for transparency and truth? The American people deserve to know who Gaetz really is.

Worse than Nikki Haley, as Joe and Mrs. Joe pretended to be “righteously”offended by Donald. He out foxed them.
BREAKING NEWS: I TOLD YOU SO. With hostage-video like cowering, Scarborough and Brzezinski resume being Trump collaborators Not a word Mr. and Mrs. Vichy Quisling say can ever be trusted again - not that those words ever should have been trusted. They are confidence tricksters - and grifters

The Speaker is against releasing the Matt Gaetz ethics report b/c of "protocol." With reports of illegal activity w/ an underage female & campaign funds violations, covering it up is a more serious breach of protocol. #ReleasetheReport or the Speaker owns it. Repost if you agree.
