Three years ago, my hometown of Monterey Park endured the deadliest mass shooting in Los Angeles County history. But in the face of unfathomable tragedy, I have witnessed extraordinary strength and unity in our journey toward healing.

Yesterday, I spoke before the Rules Committee to oppose H.R. 6945, a bill that does nothing to lower costs or support families. Instead, it funds deception, undermines real health care, and advances Republicans’ push for total control over women's private health care decisions.
While millions of Americans are losing health care, Republicans are trying to funnel federal dollars to fake clinics that exist to shame, mislead, and prevent women from accessing abortion care. youtu.be/Xz1wvJiAcvQ?...
This violent attack occurred in the midst of Lunar New Year celebrations, a time meant for joy, togetherness and peace. Instead, we were left with unimaginable loss. And yet, our community stands together with resilience, compassion, and strength. Together, we will continue to heal.
The lives of 11 of our loved ones were taken. They were parents and grandparents, wives and husbands, neighbors and friends. They each made profound impacts on their families and communities, and their absence is still felt today.
Today marks three years since the tragic mass shooting at the Star Dance Studio in my hometown of Monterey Park - the deadliest mass shooting in L.A. County's history.
Trump spent the weekend threatening our treaty allies with a military invasion to seize Greenland because he didn't win the Nobel Peace Prize.
This talk of invading Greenland is absurd and embarrassing. Congress needs to put a stop to this now.
1 year since Trump was sworn in & America is more expensive than ever. From groceries & rent to utilities and health care, costs are up. Trump promised that his administration would “end inflation” and bring down costs for families on day 1. Enough with the lies.
As we honor the life and legacy of Dr. King Jr., let us reiterate our commitment to equal rights that he and countless others in the Civil Rights Movement championed. As our rights and very democracy are threatened, we must stand together to continue this fight for freedom for all.

That’s why I’m proud to join @algreen.house.gov in reintroducing the Preemption of Real Property Discrimination Act to ensure we prevent these xenophobic state laws at the federal level.
State bans on home ownership based on citizenship fuels unwarranted suspicion & racial profiling of our Asian & Asian American neighbors.
If you need assistance with the federal government, give my Pasadena office a call at 626-304-0110. My office has delivered results for people across our district.
That’s why I proudly join my Democratic colleagues in cosponsoring articles of impeachment & calling for her immediate resignation.

The constitution grants Americans & immigrants dignity, due process, & protection under the law. But under Sec. Noem’s leadership, ICE has descended into a lawlessness. She must be held accountable.
I also emphasized the need for full cleanup of contaminated properties and continued coordination among federal, state, and local partners to ensure survivors do not bear the brunt of paying out of pocket for remediation.
I raised several critical concerns, including transparency around which homes will be tested, the scientific standards guiding the testing process, and who will be responsible for covering the cost of any additional remediation.
This past week, I met with @EPA Region 9 Administrator Mike Martucci to discuss the decision to fund soil testing for 100 homes destroyed by the Eaton Fire, and I pressed for clear answers and stronger protections for survivors. chu.house.gov/media-center...
It’s beyond shameful that as millions are losing their health care, this is what Trump is focused on. This should have never happened and has only created unnecessary confusion and chaos for patients and providers.
Yesterday the Trump admin abruptly ripped away billions in mental health and addiction treatment funding, sending providers in CA-28 and across the country into panic, and then quietly reinstated the grants after public outrage. www.nytimes.com/2026/01/14/h...
