That’s why today in @housebudgetdems.bsky.social, I will be introducing my amendment to protect access to affordable health care for over 20 million Americans and fight against Republicans’ attacks on the ACA.
Instead of doing anything to lower the high cost of health care, Republicans are attempting to pass a budget that wastes billions of taxpayer dollars on Trump’s illegal war in Iran.
Essential services for American families should never be threatened or taken away for petty political points.
Trump's attempt to freeze $10 billion for child care and social services funding was an obviously illegal and baseless attempt to punish blue states he disagrees with, and I am relieved to see it finally rescinded.

If Trump's deals are as good as he claims, he should have nothing to hide. That's why I introduced the Drug Deal Disclosure Act with @usrepkathycastor.bsky.social, @repsummerlee.bsky.social, & @repchrispappas.bsky.social to force the Trump Admin to make these agreements public.
Trump keeps claiming his secret deals with Big Pharma will lower prescription drug prices. When Democrats had control, we actually delivered lower prices by empowering Medicare to negotiate drug prices, capping insulin at $35 a month for seniors, and limiting out-of-pocket drug costs.
That's why we are working together to pass my Increasing Access to Mental Health in Schools Act to address the shortage of school psychologists and ensure every student gets the support they need to thrive.
As the only psychologist in Congress and a former educator for over 20 years, I know that school psychologists are indispensable for meeting students' mental health needs but they are being stretched too thin with overwhelming caseloads.
