It’s clear that in Trump’s second term, he can count on support from billionaires and corporate special interests in exchange for massive tax cuts that will hurt working families.

The most telling thing about Donald Trump’s inauguration won’t be a line in his speech — it’s all the billionaires and special interests who have come to town to suck up to him.
Trump & Homan will blow tons of taxpayer $$ to target innocent immigrants. That money could be used to solve crimes, arrest dangerous criminals, and keep us safe.
Instead, they look 'tough' picking on the vulnerable while they do favors for their corrupt billionaire buddies.
When Trump's ICE raided my district in 2017 & couldn’t prove they’d actually arrested dangerous criminals, Trump's underlings ordered officers to highlight ‘an egregious case from another city.’
They'll terrorize innocent people & then lie about it. It's all politics to them.
Tom Homan (Trump’s border czar) says deportation raids begin this week.
We have Homan and ICE's private emails from Trump's first term. They reveal that EVERYTHING Homan says is built on lies. Homan will arrest lots of innocent people while gaslighting media & the public. 🧵⬇️
@CongressMin.bsky.social is right. Congress can improve public safety AND respect due process. Congress can improve our immigration system AND stand against the people blaming immigrants for every problem.
We need more leaders like him — willing to tell the truth AND bring people together.
The City of San Antonio secured a $268 MILLION federal grant to invest in the VIA Green Line!
This federal investment will serve thousands of San Antonians who rely on public transportation every day. 🚌
This former labor organizer will be on the Education & Labor Committee this Congress!
We'll use every hearing to expose how House Republicans prioritize billionaire donors over American workers.
My statement on the Gaza ceasefire and hostage deal:
As the new vice ranking member of the Education and Labor Committee, here’s what I think:
Congress should work for workers, not for the oligarchs and corrupt CEOs.
Biden’s decision to remove Cuba from the SSOT will save innocent lives and reduce forced migration.
Now Trump has a choice: double down on his own failed policies and reverse this — or do what's right and stick with a decision that reduces poverty and saves lives.
This is a BIG win and a huge priority for @usprogressives.bsky.social & the Hispanic Caucus!
With Trump and his crew of anti-immigrant cronies back soon, Congress should finish the job and pass a path to citizenship for DACA, TPS recipients, and other undocumented folks.
Stay warm, #TX35! Tips to keep in mind in the winter weather:
📲 Monitor forecasts & sign up for emergency alerts at warncentraltexas.org.
🚙 Roads may be icy, so stay home if possible & drive cautiously if necessary!
Undocumented people who are convicted already face jail time, and often, deportation.
Today’s Republican bill mandates that immigrants merely ACCUSED of a crime — like shoplifting — be locked up with no due process.
A cold front has moved into #TX35 & temperatures are expected to dip below freezing.
