President Trump and RFK Jr.’s irresponsible assault on the health system will lead to the deaths of Americans.   They fired experts researching cancer cures, substance use treatments, and infectious diseases.   Why? Billionaires want more money.

In today's Democratic Daily Download, Rep John Larson calls out Trump-Musk's attacks on Social Security. They're coming after your earned benefits. Today, we'll hear directly from Americans who are impacted by these cuts. We're fighting for families and seniors, not billionaires!
Firing 10,000 health experts doesn’t make America healthier—it makes us sicker. This purge guts disease response, disrupts life-saving research, and leaves us vulnerable to outbreaks. Who benefits from weaker public health? Not the American people.
Absolute BLOODBATH at HHS/NIH/CDC this morning. Generation of scientists, health care officials being wiped out t.co/LeABrGqDei
Democrats limited bank overdraft fees to $5. This would have saved consumers $5 billion/year, but President Trump & Republicans cater to Big Banks. They’ll let them continue to gouge consumers at the ATM. This will raise costs on middle & working-class Americans.
Donald Trump now says “couldn’t care less” if prices continue to rise. What happened to lowering the cost of living for the middle and working class? Instead, Republicans are cutting nearly $1 trillion from Medicaid, threatening healthcare for millions.
Last week, I joined local education leaders to discuss our fight for every child’s right to a quality education that powers their dreams. Our children’s future can’t be sacrificed for the interests of unchecked billionaires. I’m ready to fight for their future.
The Trump Administration is attacking free speech and due process in our nation. We must stand united against them in defending these core principles.
While I strongly disagree with their views, arresting & detaining individuals for their beliefs without transparency, denying them access to legal representation, & failing to disclose their whereabouts is a violation of fundamental constitutional rights.
On this day, we remember the legacy of activist Cesar Chavez. Along with Dolores Huerta, Chavez courageously fought for farm workers’ rights. A social justice giant, he inspired other working Americans to organize through nonviolent activism.
Eid Mubarak to all who celebrate! As we mark the end of Ramadan, I encourage everyone to reflect on cherished traditions that strengthen our communities and family bonds. My warmest wishes and blessings to the Muslim-American community as you take part in Eid celebrations.
The obfuscation of “attack plans” and “war plans” is intentional. They think you, the American people, are dumb enough to fall for it. Don’t let them distract you with BS. They messed up, and they’re trying to bury it.
The DOJ should investigate this embarrassing series of failures to its root. But the root is President Trump, and Pam Bondi will never exercise the independence the job demands. It’s up to Congressional Democrats to do their job for them, as usual.
REPORTER: The Signal chat controversy -- is DOJ involved? If so, why? If not, why not? BONDI: It was sensitive info, not classified. What we should be talking about is it was a very successful mission... if you want to talk about classified information, talk about what was at Hillary Clinton's home
Pete Hegseth’s arrogance in the face of the worst national security lapse in the last decade is dangerous. He lies, dodges accountability, & sets a culture of recklessness. Leadership starts at the top. Under Hegseth, DoD would rot from within. He. Must. Go.
Today marks the two years since the Covenant School Shooting. Six innocent lives were lost on this tragic day. Six too many. It is the duty of Congress to protect American communities from all threats and end this gun violence epidemic.
Tulsi Gabbard clearly lied by stating there was no classified information shared in this chat. She should be investigated and fired before her carelessness and cluelessness get people killed.
After the Atlantic published the texts this morning, Tulsi Gabbard is confronted today on why she lied in her testimony to the Senate yesterday. She says she misremembered.
“Attack plans” and “war plans” are very different according to @SecDef, because apparently, it doesn’t matter if anyone in the world finds out about attack plans. Whenever our troops are going into harm’s way, info security matters. Resign.
Pete Hegseth: "Nobody is texting war plans. Well I noticed this morning, out came something that doesn't look like war plans. And as a matter of fact, they even changed the title to 'attack plans,' because they know it's not war plans."
Today we remember the tragic collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore Maryland, where 6 hardworking Americans lost their lives. I am keeping their families and the Baltimore community in my prayers today, as they continue to rebuild.
