[1/2] The Trump regime is trying to deport the wife of a 100% disabled Marine veteran—a mother of 2 U.S.-citizen daughters, who entered legally but overstayed. This is what “tough on immigration” looks like: punishing military families. www.pbs.org/newshour/sho...
As Trump and Republicans continue to put polluters over people to enrich their billionaire buddies, I'm working in Congress for clean air and water and to protect our natural resources and combat the climate crisis.
The winning artwork will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C. for a full year. Looking forward to seeing the incredible creativity and talent of our district’s young artists.
How to enter: Email a photo or scan of the artwork + a completed, typed Student Release Form (signed by the student, parent/guardian, and teacher) to Lloyd.Doggett@mail.house.gov. Deadline: Monday, April 20, 2026. Artwork must be no larger than 26” x 26” x 4” (including frame).
I’m pleased to once again host the 2026 Congressional Art Competition and invite high school students across Texas’ 37th Congressional District to participate. Theme: Austin Show us what Austin means to you through your art!
Parents should be able to send their kids to school without fear. Our neighbors in Uvalde deserved that. Instead of addressing real gun safety reforms, Republicans passed a loophole that makes weapons more accessible to felons. Real public safety means fewer weapons on our streets, not more loopholes
As Trump’s image covers the Justice Department building, Pam Bondi covers up for him inside. After ignoring the law and missing Epstein file release deadlines, Bondi conceals documents with alarming allegations concerning Trump.
Trump honored a rescuer and survivor of Kerr County flood while the Trump regime continues to hide records of what his Weather Service did or didn’t do that day that may have worsened the disaster.
The Constitution is clear: the power to tax and impose tariffs belongs to Congress. If Trump’s trade war continues to send prices sky-high, it will be because Congressional Republicans choose to enable it—not because Congress lacks the authority to stop it.
Here’s the critical point: these 15% across-the-board tariffs expire after 150 days – on July 24th, 2026 -- unless Congress votes to approve them. 2 weeks ago, Dems—joined by a handful of Republicans—forced a vote to reject Trump’s Canada tariffs despite months of obstruction by House GOP leadership
Within hours, Trump invoked a different statute to impose a new 10% tariff on all imports—raised to 15% just one day later—on top of other tariffs the Court left in place. This authority is meant for a monetary “balance of payments” crisis, which the United States is not experiencing.
Last week, SCOTUS dealt a major blow to Donald Trump’s illegal attempt to claim dictatorial powers, striking down his phony “national emergency” used to justify sweeping tariff taxes that have driven up prices for all of us. Unfortunately, that ruling has not stopped Trump’s destructive trade war.
Thanks to the Ukrainian Congress Committee of America for presenting this award for my support of Ukraine's sovereignty. On this 4th anniversary of Putin’s invasion, Ukrainians need Trump to stop obstructing the delivery of military and humanitarian aid—and to stop spouting Kremlin talking points.
Unsurprising but disturbing reporting: DOJ withheld and removed Epstein files referencing Trump, including interview notes tied to sexual abuse allegations against him. Regardless of the status of these allegations, Pam Bondi continues ignoring the law requiring her to disclose all documents.
Putin thought he could take Kyiv in two weeks. For four years, courageous Ukrainians have proved him wrong. Instead of supporting their fight for freedom and democracy, Trump — who promised to end the war on “Day One”— has only emboldened Putin by inviting him to join his "Board of Peace."
With impeachment blocked by a compliant GOP Congress and SCOTUS having assured him immunity from prosecution, Trump apparently fears being held accountable elsewhere. He continues his bullying of the ICC, demanding they change their founding document to exempt him and his cronies for their crimes
