The path back to the American Dream is clear: economic populism that unrigs the system for hardworking folks & takes on the corruption that did the rigging in the first place. I'm proud to help lead a group of lawmakers to shift our economy to be one that actually works for hardworking people.
It's ridiculous that the Trump Admin is taking away $$$ from Western PA to buy an ambulance or control flooding. Everyone around here should know that the President is abandoning important safety projects to pay for fiscally reckless tax giveaways to corporations & billionaires. This is boneheaded.
"My wife and I have an adult son who became permanently disabled before age 22, and receives SSI/Medicaid. What happens to his care? If not for Medicaid, his meds would cost $2500/mo." I'll keep fighting for his family, and for all of us.
I'll also keep sharing stories from constituents, like a father in Wilkinsburg who worked for 45 years but is terrified of how this Administration's pillaging of our government could derail his retirement:
Why? to give more tax handouts to billionaires and huge corporations, saddling us with trillions of dollars in debt. It’s a fiscally reckless grift. I’ve been speaking out for months and I won't stop fighting back. (2/2)
Republican politicians in Washington are trying to rip away healthcare, targeting Medicaid with billions of cuts. This funds healthcare for kids with disabilities, opioid addiction treatment, pre-natal care for moms, and nursing homes for seniors. (1/2)
Now, with the Social Security Administration being told to completely ignore Congressional inquiries, I'm demanding a meeting with the Acting Social Security Commissioner to get answers for the 180,000+ Western Pennsylvanians I represent who count on Social Security. (2/2)
Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBMs) are a prime example of using anticompetitive power to crush small businesses that are the lifeblood of our communities—like Towne Drugs, an independent pharmacy in Aspinwall. This has got to change. (2/2)
This week, I joined colleagues down in Washington to launch the 'Monopoly Busters Caucus.' Our focus is taking on the corporate power that is stifling growth and ripping off workers, small businesses, & consumers. (1/2)
…fired Aliquippa mill workers attempting to organize under the recently-passed Wagner Act. The court ordered their reinstatement and established workers' rights to organize and bargain collectively. We're still fighting dirty union busters today, and we stand on these brave workers' shoulders. (2/2)
Today, we mark a great day in Western PA's history—when Aliquippa Steelworkers won their fight at the U.S. Supreme Court in 1937. In their decision, the Supreme Court upheld the constitutionality of the Wagner Act in the @nlrbgov.bsky.social’s case against J&L Steel Corp, which illegally… (1/2)
Who knew about the President's tariff policy change before the public, and did they use that information to trade on the stock market? It is corrupt to profit off insider info you learn in office.
I’m leading a letter with Rep. Terri Sewell and 131 colleagues demanding answers from the White House, USTR, Treasury, Commerce, and the SEC. Who knew about Trump’s tariff reversal? When did they know? How did they know? $300B didn’t move by accident. This is market manipulation.
I’ve heard seniors’ concerns about difficulty verifying identity and logging into Social Security online systems. I’m very concerned about if folks are having trouble and why it’s happening. Are you having the same issues? Please let me know: deluzio.house.gov/services/hel...
Who here likes paying bank overdraft fees? Anyone? 🦗 Then why would House Republicans pass a bill yesterday to overturn a rule that capped these fees at $5? It's simple: they want to make it easier for their bank buddies to take more money from you.
