If you or a family member are interested in attending a service academy, my office is hosting a virtual event with @repdelbene.bsky.social on Saturday to answer your questions.
During Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we honor the bravery of survivors of domestic violence.
If you or a loved one is a victim of domestic violence, call the 24-hour National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-SAFE.
Federal workers across WA are feeling the impact of the shutdown. Republicans need to return to DC, do their jobs, & end this needless harm to working families.
Trump is more focused on tearing apart the White House to install a Mar-a-Lago style ballroom than reopening the government or making sure you can afford health care.
Never forget he cares more about himself than you.
Happy Diwali! May this festival of lights bring peace, joy, & new beginnings to all who celebrate.
Republicans know they’re about to double or even TRIPLE your health care bills & they refuse to do anything about it. Democrats are fighting to make your care more affordable.
The Republican government shutdown is putting our national security at risk. Furloughing 80% of the civilian staff that manage our nuclear weapons is reckless and dangerous. Republicans need to come to the negotiating table.
Wonderful to join our community to celebrate Diwali & share in the joy, hope, & renewal it represents. 🪔 🪔 🪔
Republicans just gave themselves another week of vacation instead of coming to the table to end the shutdown.
Hard to reopen the government when they don’t show up to work.
I caught up with @repemilyrandall.bsky.social about how the Republican shutdown is impacting Washington.
Republicans need to come to the table to reach a bipartisan agreement to reopen the government so our vets can get access to all the services they've earned.
While VA clinics are still open, the shutdown is hitting our veterans hard. Here’s what you need to know:
⭕ GI Bill tuition & housing stipends paused
⭕ VA refusing to handle casework
⭕ Trump threatening to fire more VA staff after already cutting 30,000 workers
What ‘America First’ really means to Trump: A $40 billion bailout for his friend in Argentina while the U.S. government is shut down, families are about to see their health care prices double, & American farmers are losing customers to Argentinian competitors.
Cutting essential public services is not leadership—it’s cruelty.
Trump is using the Republican shutdown to fire federal workers who protect us from disease outbreaks, process our tax returns, & support special needs students, among other services.

Trump’s tariffs are a tax on Americans. New data shows that U.S. families & businesses are paying for the majority of these tariffs—not foreign countries.
While Republicans refuse to speak up about this price hike on families & workers, I’m fighting to lower costs.
More than 280,000 Washingtonians will lose coverage because of the Republican health care crisis. Congress needs to extend the enhanced Affordable Care Act tax credits and reverse Medicaid cuts so families have access to health care.
On Indigenous Peoples’ Day, we recognize the resilience of Indigenous Peoples and the injustices they’ve experienced throughout history. I stand with our Native communities today and always in their continued fight for justice.
Failing to extend the enhanced Affordable Care Act tax credits will spike monthly health insurance premiums. Here’s one example of what this could mean in Washington.
Innovation in action! Students from across WA-01 joined our App-A-Thon to level up their coding skills & get ready for the Congressional App Challenge. Can’t wait to see their final apps! 💻

Alignment stats consider only votes where a clear yes/no majority existed for the legislator's party. Cross-party marks divergence where the vote matched the opposite party majority. ↔ indicates cross-party divergence.
