Veterans deserve the full range of health care, not political interference. I joined my Democratic colleagues in calling on the VA to reverse its near-total ban on abortion & counseling. Those who served our country deserve access to the care they need.

Trump’s tariffs are the biggest tax hike on working families in nearly a century. They raise prices on everyday goods, harm small businesses, & slow our economy. Republicans promised to lower costs & all they have done is raise them.
Month after month, Trump’s tariffs & economic policies are drying up job openings & damaging our economy. Today’s meager jobs report—and previous months now showing job LOSSES—highlights the real cost to Americans.
Trump’s tariffs are driving up grocery bills & families are paying the price.
Ensuring travelers get money back for flights significantly delayed by the airline would save them hundreds of dollars.
Now Trump is saying consumers can be left stranded with nothing.

Thoughts & prayers are not enough. It takes action to save lives. I joined my colleagues in urging Speaker Johnson to vote on legislation to help end gun violence.
Wildfires & hurricanes don’t wait for politics. Cutting FEMA staff puts lives at risk. We need our federal government ready to respond when disaster strikes.
I joined a bipartisan effort today that would force a vote in the House on releasing the full Epstein files.
Republican leadership is protecting Trump & the well-connected from accountability.
Survivors deserve justice & the American people deserve answers.

A brave whistleblower has confirmed what we’ve feared for months: Trump and DOGE have uploaded your private data to who knows where.

Thank you to our incredible summer interns for all they contributed these past months. Can’t wait to see what they do next!
I’m always inspired by students in the Congressional App Challenge. No matter your background, you can turn ideas into reality, make new friends, & help solve real problems. I can’t wait to see what you create next – this year’s apps are due on October 30.
What gives me hope? I shared what helps inspire me to keep fighting for our democracy.
The Next Generation Warning System ensures families receive life-saving alerts during disasters. With the Corporation for Public Broadcasting forced to end the program after recent funding cuts, public safety is at risk. Republicans made these cuts rather than keeping families safe.
Families are paying more for back-to-school supplies this year. Costs are up over 7.3% from 2024. No parent should have to choose between essentials for their child & other household needs. I’ll keep fighting to lower costs & support WA families.
Thank you to Sno-Isle’s Executive Director & staff for a tour of the new Lake Stevens Library, now under construction. I nominated this project for federal funding for their early learning library & am excited to see it come to life for families in our district.
The constant start & stop the Trump admin is doing with funding is hurting projects because researchers don’t know if they’ll be able to keep labs running day to day.
As someone who worked in biomedical research, I know the importance of federal investments. Research— even focused on specific groups— helps improve the health of everyone.
I had fun sharing my take on a few ‘this or that’ questions—see if you agree!
