It's Day 18 of Trump's war of choice, and it's already cost taxpayers over $22 BILLION. That could fund: 🩺A year of Medicaid coverage for 2,750,000 Americans 🍽️A year of SNAP aid to help 3,055,555 families put food on the table 🏘️Building 88,000 affordable housing units
Hey #Philly, let’s talk taxes! Have questions this filing season? Want to learn more about filing your federal, state, & city taxes? Don’t leave money on the table this tax filing season — stop by my tax filing forum on March 28 from 10 AM to 2 PM to learn more and maximize your refund!
As Trump's cuts to SNAP begin to take effect and food prices continue to rise, Philadelphians are struggling to put food on the table. “It’s ridiculous," my constituent Carolyn, a Philly grandmother raising three of her grandchildren and being impacted by these cuts, told me.
At least 175 civilians, mostly little girls, were killed by a military strike on a school in Iran. As preliminary investigations show the U.S. is responsible, I join @sarajacobs.house.gov and my Democratic colleagues in demanding accountability and transparency from the Trump-Vance administration.
175 civilians – mostly little girls – at a school in Iran had nothing to do with this awful war. It looks like the U.S. was responsible for their deaths, and if so, this Administration must take accountability. I’m proud to lead 121 House Democrats in demanding answers.

1 in 3 Americans are being forced to make trade-offs just to afford their health care! This is the reality of the congressional GOP’s cuts to health care funding. The reality of them letting the critical ACA tax credits expire. Of the Republican-created health care crisis.
About 1 in 3 U.S. adults say they’ve made trade-offs to afford health care in the past year, including rationing or skipping medications or borrowing money, according to a poll from West Health-Gallup.
As customers in Philly and beyond pay more for gas and home heating oil, Trump says: “When oil prices go up, we make a lot of money.” Let’s be clear - the main people profiting from oil prices skyrocketing are oil executives, who happen to be his billionaire donor buddies.
Last year, Trump gutted SNAP benefits, making it harder for millions of Americans to put food on the table. Meanwhile, his Department of Defense was on a spending spree on YOUR dime — dropping $15.1 million on ribeye steak & $2 million on Alaskan king crab in just one month.
Over a million Americans were forced to DROP their health care coverage because Trump and GOP majorities in Congress refused to extend the critical ACA premium tax credits. But according to his administration, too many Americans still have this health insurance.
Although Obamacare sign-ups have fallen significantly this year over skyrocketing monthly premiums, Dr. Mehmet Oz believes enrollment is still too high.
The Trump-Vance Administration cut SNAP food aid and refused to extend the tax credits that made health care affordable for millions of Americans - but spent $6.9 MILLION on lobster tail and $15.1 MILLION on ribeye steak last September. I guess it’s "let them eat cake."
