Trump wants to end these programs to give billionaires massive tax cuts. Republicans want you to have less so that billionaires can have more.
Trump’s promised “golden age” will be only be golden for the richest among us.
Don’t believe me? Read his budget.
These programs have helped millions of Americans, especially those who are economically disadvantaged or part of the now-shrinking middle class.
Donald Trump’s budget seeks to severely cut or in some cases completely eliminate them. The results would be increased poverty.
Federal programs seek to keep Americans out of poverty, ensuring they can lead productive lives and contribute to their communities and our country.
Programs for housing, nutrition, workforce development and education have been hallmarks of who we are as a country.
A budget is a statement of values. Donald Trump’s budget identifies what’s important to him — and what is not.
His budget will make America sicker, poorer and less educated.
He proves once again that he doesn’t care about hard-working Americans.
“My division collects MILLIONS in tax revenue for the American people,” said a former IRS employee. “Several people will now not pay what they owe to the American people, and they will continue to not pay because there is no one there to ensure their compliance.”

US consumer confidence reports were recently published, and the results are grim.

The relentless barrage of attacks against the LGBT+ community by Republicans across the country continues the erosion of civil rights for Americans.
That's why I'm proud to support the Equality Act, which strengthens federal protections against discrimination.
How long until Republicans and right-wing media personalities start saying having more than two toys is woke?
I'm proud to join my colleagues to introduce the Medicare for All Act. You can read my full press release here: escobar.house.gov/news/documen...
As the wealthiest nation in the history of the world, it is a tragedy that millions of Americans remain uninsured.
It’s long past time we right this wrong and finally accept, as a country, that healthcare is a human right.
Apparently Trump's never heard the phrase, "the buck stops with me."
Because when the stock market exceeds expectations, it's thanks to him. But when they fall woefully short? Everyone else's fault but his own.
Don't believe me? Read his own words, just a year apart.
Trump, August 2024: "I will immediately bring prices down, starting on Day One."
Trump, October 2024: "Starting on Day One of my new administration, we will end inflation, and we will make America affordable again."
Trump, April 2025: "Hang tough!"

It was lovely to share my story and what I’m doing to ensure all women and girls can pursue their passions.
Even when I’m in Washington, I’m still speaking with El Pasoans every day.
I made some time today to call and chat with Melissa and Catherine who wrote to my office asking about women’s leadership and empowerment.
Donald Trump has now been in office for 100 days, and a majority of Americans oppose his policies and do not approve of how he’s handling his job as our president.
So let’s recap 👇🏽

By slashing Medicaid, Republicans are choosing to close at least 200 rural hospitals across the country.
Instead of siding with their communities, Republicans are prioritizing tax cuts for billionaires and corporations.
And Americans will suffer for it.
