An unspeakable and horrific act of violence at a church in Grand Blanc, Michigan. Thank you to the brave first responders for their swift response on the scene. My heart is with the victims and their families.
These historic Black beaches were one of the most popular African American beaches in the country and drew in legends from Billie Holiday to Ella Fitzgerald and Ray Charles. Having this picture on our wall gives us a chance to honor our local history and have it be enjoyed by all those who visit!

Today is National Public Lands Day, a time to celebrate our rich ecological history and natural treasures. As the Vice Ranking Member of the House Natural Resources Committee, I’m committed to defending our public lands and ensuring they stay open and accessible.

We’re now one week away from the deadline to submit an application for Military Academy Nominations. If you know any passionate young individuals who want to serve our nation, be sure to submit the nomination application by 11:59 PM Friday, October 3rd, 2025. More details at the link below:
Did you know that #MD03 has one of the largest Indian festivals in Maryland (and the country)? The Festival of India - Diwali Mela draws in more than 20,000 guests over the weekend to celebrate the cultural diversity of the Indian community with amazing music, dance, food, clothing, crafts, & more.
