It was a privilege to update the Pasadena City Council on my legislative work, as well as the investments to public transit and local infrastructure I’ve been able to bring back to our communities.

This decision would waste taxpayer resources and deny justice for Americans who have been illegally denied housing or who are forced to live alongside filth and pollution.
While Democrats work to build more affordable housing in clean environments, Trump is actively sabotaging victims of housing discrimination & toxic pollution.
It was a privilege to update Burbank’s City Council and residents on the investments I’ve been able to bring back to our community, and my legislative efforts to boost our local economy, protect affordable healthcare, and keep our neighbors safe.
Thank you for the opportunity @CityofBurbank!
Team Friedman was honored to attend the swearing-in ceremony for Glendale Fire Chief Jeff Brooks!
For more than 20 years, Chief Brooks has served the Glendale Fire Department with dedication and humility. His promotion to Fire Chief is well-deserved!
We need commonsense solutions that put Californians in homes, & I’m committed to working to working with our stakeholders and community members on the ground to make that happen.
Affordable housing is an issue I’ve been working on since I was in the Assembly. That’s why I made my Housing Advisory Committee one of the first I convened.

I led @SenSchiff, @SenPadilla, and my fellow California colleagues in a letter demanding answers from @SecNoem. We must know if federal resources are being used to illegally suppress dissent.
A few weeks ago, 100s of Border Patrol agents showed up outside a peaceful gathering of Californians and elected officials announcing our response to Trump’s Texas gerrymandering scheme. This was a massive deployment, and the timing and location are a real cause for concern.
Even months after the wildfires our families are still navigating bureaucratic red tape as they try to recover. I’m proud to announce that my legislation ensuring charitable donations don’t disqualify victims from FEMA aid is being fast tracked through Congress & is one step closer to becoming law.
I’m helping to advance the Trade Review Act to take back Congress’ power over tariffs and alleviate the financial strain on our pocketbooks.
Teachers often purchase classroom supplies with their own money in order to give our children every opportunity to succeed. Now Trump’s tariffs are making their jobs exponentially harder.
I sat down with my Healthcare Advisory Committee — heads of local hospitals & healthcare providers— to talk about how we can keep fighting back, like with my Restoring Essential Healthcare Act.
Republicans are squeezing our families to give handouts to billionaires while cutting affordable care that keeps people out of emergency rooms and extra medical debt.
Vista Grande Courts and CORE Housing help seniors afford a roof over their heads, and I’m proud to continue to support legislation and efforts that lower the cost of housing for Angelenos in need.
I had the privilege of touring Vista Grande Court in Glendale, a senior living community that I helped greenlight when I was Mayor.
Love seeing an old parking garage become 200 new apartments.
To lower prices, this has to be the norm—not the exception.
Part of the path to affordability in LA is quickly converting empty malls, dead office buildings, & old parking lots into new homes. www.latimes.com/business/sto...
