Today, I got to ride for the launch of these three brand-new stations, nearly four miles of track, and a 20-minute ride from Downtown to Beverly Hills.
Last year I toured this line in a hard hat. Today, trains are running.

The only new subway opening in America this year? It's Metro’s D Line in Los Angeles.
While Trump was ranting on social media at 3 AM about our city, Angelenos were tunneling, laying track, and building a transit system that makes life more affordable.
I'm proud to honor all the nurses and wellness heroes that make our healthcare system run not just this week, but every single day.
Since I got to Congress, I’ve been working to support our nurses so that they can continue keeping Americans healthy.
Teachers, this week we’re celebrating you and all that you do to help educate the next generation of leaders, thinkers, and creators.
In Congress, I’m proud to stand shoulder to shoulder with our educators to get them the resources they need to succeed.
Hollywood workers are losing jobs. Production is fleeing the state. Further industry consolidation deserves close scrutiny.
I led 30+ California Members of Congress in supporting @agrobbonta.oag.ca.gov’s review of the Paramount-Warner Bros. deal.

Last year when I rallied outside of Kimmel Studios, we won, and so did free speech. That’s the power of speaking up.
If the FCC or White House officials don’t want to answer to Congress, we’ll subpoena them. There is no escaping accountability.
When Democrats regain the majority, we will hold the Administration accountable for illegally trying to punish those critical of the President.
Congressional hearings are coming.
We will investigate the FCC’s unlawful collusion with the White House to look for evidence of targeting based on speech.
Freedom of speech is the First Amendment to the US Constitution because it’s the foundation of our democracy. It’s not an afterthought.
I joined @chu.house.gov, Rep. Correa, Heather Gardner, Jerrod Zisser, & Lisandra Vazquez to outline how Democrats plan to protect free speech. 🧵
Among the many responsibilities I’m honored to shoulder in Congress, getting constituents connected to the resources they need is one of the most important. (2/2)
It was a pleasure seeing so many of my constituents at Park La Brea’s Earth Day celebration. Thank you to everyone that stopped by my table to get help with federal agencies. (1/2)
I’m celebrating the amazing small businesses of CA-30 this week!
From nifty shops to incredible bakeries and indie producers, these small but mighty businesses are the backbone of our economy and give the district so much character.
What small business in CA-30 should I visit next?

🏳️⚧️ Laura Friedman Proud to stand with as we broke ground on the first-ever building built from the ground up dedicated to TGI wellness. This project has been 17 years in the making a testament to the fact that while the road wasn't easy, our commitment to trans lives is unshakeable.
I represent one of the largest Armenian American communities in the country, and I will not stay silent while their loyalty is questioned and their community is targeted by a serial bigot. (2/2)
Every American should be disgusted by Rep. Fine’s comments. Armenian Americans serve in our military, build businesses, support their neighbors, and make countless contributions to this nation. (1/2)
The name was never the problem. The problem is that two American citizens have been killed, countless more have had their rights violated, and agents terrorize our communities while Trump blocks oversight or accountability.
Americans want top to bottom reform, not a rebranding.
As a member of the Committee on Science and Technology, I am working to bring critical resources to our scientific community so that American can continue to be a world leader in space exploration and crucial scientific research. (2/2)
While the crew of Artemis II returned from their historic visit to space, I had the opportunity to tour the Carnegie Observatory, which is the birthplace of much of our understanding of our universe. (1/2)
I won’t stop fighting against this administration’s war against science. (2/2)
