Congrats to @HomeboyInd and Father Boyle on opening their 14th social enterprise, Puppy Fades! 🎉🐾 Happy to continue supporting the incredible work they’re doing to transform lives and create opportunity across Los Angeles.
Defund, Defraud and Lie. That’s the Republican plan and they are going to do it over and over and over — all to give tax breaks to billionaires. But we can stop their agenda. The more we fight back, the more we inspire others to speak up. Trump isn’t a king. We must defend our democracy.
Trump fired labor board officials after they took on Elon Musk’s companies. That’s why I filed an amicus brief with 250+ House Democrats—because we can’t let them rewrite the rules to silence unions and ignore workers’ rights.
I teamed up with @RepLindaSanchez to introduce a bill to end Trump’s dumb tariff chaos and take back Congress’s power over trade. These tariffs are just a hidden tax on working families — and I’m fighting to put a stop to them.
Earth Day turns 55—a reminder there’s no Planet B. But as we celebrate, Trump’s pushing executive orders to roll back protections and sell off nature for profit. We owe it to future generations to speak up and protect our planet. 🌎✊
Love paying more for no reason? 🤷🏽‍♂️ Trump's dumb tariffs on cars, parts, steel and aluminum means pricier repairs for everyone, including insurance companies. So even if you're a safe driver, premiums will be jacked up to cover these rising costs. laist.com/news/politic...
The Trump admin. quietly killed a program that helped immigrants become U.S. citizens. I led 54 of my colleagues demanding DHS & USCIS to bring it back. The Citizenship & Assimilation Grant Program funds nonprofits that offer civics classes, English help & application support.
As a dad, I see firsthand how Trump’s dumb tariffs are driving up prices on everyday essentials—shoes, diapers, baby wipes, toys. Basically, everything toddlers need. That’s why I’m fighting back in @WaysMeansCmte to stop these price hikes and help working families get ahead.
🎨 Attention middle & high school students! Want your artwork on display in the U.S. Capitol? 🇺🇸🖼️ There’s exactly 1 week left to enter the Congressional Art Competition! Don’t miss your chance! 🗓️ Deadline: Next Friday, April 25th 📍 Open to students in our district More info: bit.ly/gomezartcomp2025
Did you know Trump’s been dismantling the very agencies that keep your kids safe and healthy?🚨 He’s cut health & education jobs, gutted food safety, and weakened protections for families. This isn’t politics—it’s our kids’ future. 📣 Tag a parent who needs to know.
Want to bring people back in? Talk about what hits home: raising kids, buying a home, affording groceries, starting a biz. That’s what the @DadsCaucus is about—meeting families where they are & fighting for policies that put parents, kids & working people first.
Trump and RFK Jr. have shut down half of all HHS regional offices — including the one in SF, which serves ALL of CA. These brutal cuts put the health of 166M Americans at risk. That's why I’m demanding answers from HHS and fighting to restore the services our communities rely on.
Through leading the Renters Caucus & my Revitalizing Downtowns & Main Streets Act, I’m fighting to build more housing people can actually afford, close to where people work. 🛠️
The IRS should never be weaponized to go after hardworking immigrants. I’m demanding answers from the Trump admin alongside @RepLindaSanchez and 45 colleagues on their plan to use taxpayer data to target hardworking immigrants. We won’t let them get away with it.
Republicans say they’re pro-family and back the Child Tax Credit— but their budget slashes Medicaid and food assistance millions of children rely on. You can’t call yourself “pro-family” while selling them out for a tax break for billionaires.
🚨Trump & Elon Musk are still coming after our Social Security benefits. DOGE cuts to SSA threaten $116 million in monthly benefits in our district, including those seniors, children & surviving spouses have earned. All so billionaires can get another tax break they don't need.
Trump deported a legal U.S. resident and is openly defying the Supreme Court’s ruling. This isn’t just about one man — it’s about whether the rule of law and due process still matter in this country. If not, no American is safe.
