Politicians should protect workers rights, not undermine them. So I introduced the Protect America's Workforce Act to reverse the executive order stripping collective bargaining rights from 700,000 federal workers.
Proud to announce my bill was just endorsed by @laborcaucus.house.gov. 💪🏻
SNAP helps put food on the table for one in five Maine kids.
Many of them are at risk of losing those meals under the GOP’s proposed changes to the way SNAP is funded. Congress should protect their access to food, not limit it.
With the highest median age in the country, Maine stands a lot to lose from the House GOP’s proposed changes to Medicaid.
Gutting senior care to fund tax cuts for the wealthiest households and corporations is always a bad idea.
If you’re someone who works on the water, the Coast Guard wants your feedback on proposed changes to navigational aids.

Congress should be protecting health care, not taking it away. We should prioritize middle-class tax relief, not giveaways to those at the top.
We should oppose these plans, go back to the drawing board, & write up a reconciliation bill that puts working people first.
To make matters worse, the plan allows trillions in new borrowing, making our nation’s ballooning national debt even worse and threatening the future stability of critical spending like Medicare and Social Security.
The proposed cuts would take health care away from 14 million Americans. These cuts pay, in part, for the extension of tax cuts tilted in favor of the wealthiest households, plus new tax giveaways for millionaire heirs.
🧵 Several House committees today are considering cuts to the safety net & taxes as part of the reconciliation process. Lots of moving pieces, but this opening offer from the House GOP amounts to a huge giveaway to the wealthy in exchange for making Americans sicker and hungrier.
Hundreds of thousands of Mainers rely on SNAP + Medicaid to afford groceries & health care.
So I’m working to force a vote on the Hands Off Medicaid and SNAP Act — a bill blocking cuts to either program in the reconciliation process as the GOP looks for ways to fund tax cuts for the rich.
Read the CBO report here: www.cbo.gov/system/files...
Medicaid means health care to roughly one-third of all people in ME-02. I'm not voting to take their coverage away — especially to help fund tax benefits for the wealthy.
From CBO: GOP's Medicaid cuts would take health care away from millions of people.
Thanks Maine Maritime Academy for the invitation to help honor the Class of 2025.
People often talk about the leaders of tomorrow, but I got to meet a group of young people — full of talent, ambition, and clear pursuit of purpose — ready to make their mark on the world today.
Thanks to @iamunion.bsky.social for the warm welcome at your Legislative Conference yesterday.
Whether we’re protecting the right to organize, standing up for American shipbuilders, or supporting the first modern lobstermen’s union in Maine, I’m always proud to stand with the Machinists!
It was an honor to speak with the selfless folks at the Disabled American Veterans Conference.
I’ve seen their dogged advocacy for others firsthand, and am grateful for this organization's commitment to helping veterans heal, readjust to civilian life, and get whatever else they need.
Most of us are good at recognizing when the other side is trying to use fear to divide us. But we're susceptible when those tactics come from our own.
We must be on guard against fear mongering no matter who it comes from, the topic of my new Dear Mainer:

By allowing independents to vote in primaries, Maine has ensured that all citizens can have their voices heard throughout the entire political process.
The Let America Vote Act will bring this victory for democracy to the entire country.
I joined the American Compass podcast to discuss how free trade hurt Maine communities and what I support about the president’s trade agenda — and what I think is still missing.

From my family to yours, Happy Easter. Enjoy time with your loved ones today.
President Trump issued an executive order yesterday directing his cabinet to restore American seafood competitiveness after I wrote to him last week. So I'm writing again to tell him where to start: Canada's unfair trade practices and unequal regulations.
