My team will be in Ariel on Wednesday if you need assistance with a federal agency like the VA, IRS, or Social Security Administration. We've now helped more than 2,100 constituents, and it's a testament to you spreading the word to friends, family, and neighbors about our services!
The Lewis & Clark Bridge was built in 1930 and we’ve all seen how difficult it can be when it shuts down. With the NTSB listing it as one of the 68 bridges vulnerable to a vessel strike, I met with WSDOT, local leaders, & river users to discuss challenges behind the aging bridge & the path forward.
Our young people need opportunities in the trades and to receive the respect they deserve for choosing these prestigious careers. I appreciate the skilled folks from @weareliuna.bsky.social who swung by the other week to discuss how they're making it happen and building things that last in #WA03.
Last week, I met with Discovery Clean Water Alliance about their work to keep rates down and service running smoothly in Clark County. We chatted about biosolids, my bill to shield ratepayers from PFAS cleanup costs, and how government can most effectively deliver on the nuts and bolts.
I kicked off my Congressional Leadership Awards to honor the outstanding initiative, service, and heroism that goes unrecognized in #WA03 each day. We received dozens of incredible nominees – and I'm excited to announce some incredible folks who regularly put their communities first:
Reliable water and wastewater service is under-appreciated but critically necessary work. We can't afford to let our water systems break down or to let rates go up. I'm working to empower our public utilities to do the work they need to do for our communities.
Our seniors spent their lives working hard to pay into this system, and these checks are a cornerstone to a dignified retirement – so it’s critical our gov't holds up its promise. Older Americans shouldn't be collateral damage of a broken system – so I'll keep fighting cuts to this vital program.
