➡️ Granted clemency to 23 people convicted of violating the FACE Act and related conspiracy charges who live-streamed invading health clinics and used physical force, injured nurses, and terrorized girls and women
➡️ Pardoned and released back into our communities more than 1,500 violent criminals — including the leaders of Proud Boys and Oath Keepers, who are definitively traitors — who brutally attacked American law enforcement officers
I recently visited PhytogenX, a woman-owned contract manufacturer producing skincare, haircare, & body care products, which has a manufacturing plant in Morgantown. I got to tour the facility, see the production process, and discuss what we can do to empower female entrepreneurs across PA!
America's national security agencies have always conducted rigorous investigations before bestowing access to our secrets. The law must mandate that they finish their work before issuing these clearances. I'm exploring legislation to make sure these protocols aren't ignored.
It's alarming that President Trump is circumventing long-established, highly effective military and intelligence procedures by issuing security clearances to people without completed background checks.
Trump is handing out top secret security clearances without the usual background checks. Experts warn it’s a national security risk. Congress doesn’t know who or how many people are getting these clearances — and probably won’t find out. www.notus.org/whitehouse/t...
I was honored to present them with a Congressional commendation for receiving the 2024 PA Distinguished Dairy Producer Award. I also enjoyed touring the farm, learning what I can do to better support our local dairy farmers, and seeing some adorable calves! 🐄
Holy Cow! Kurtland Farms has been operating in our community for over 100 years! Last week, I visited the family-owned farm in Elverson, which is now run by Tim and Jared Kurtz, third and fourth-generation dairy farmers.
Join me for my first town hall of 2025! I'll be hosting town hall #94, focusing on public service with special guests, Amanda Blevins from the United Way of Chester County and Capt. Howard Crawford, USAF (retired). This telephone town hall will be held on January 29, at 6 p.m.
In honor of Martin Luther King Jr., my team and I volunteered at Opportunity House, a multi-service shelter in Reading. We prepared and served lunch to 70 community members. Opportunity House plays a vital role to those in need, and I'm thankful for our time of service together!
The cards will be delivered to the Coatesville VA and the Etchberger Veterans Service Center. Please use the drop boxes outside of our office doors, and thank you for participating!
Valentine's Day is approaching, so it's time for our 5th annual Valentines for Veterans project! 💌   We are now accepting cards for our local veterans, which can be dropped off at our Reading office by February 7 or our West Chester office by February 10.
President Trump’s pardons for over 1,500 people who stormed the U.S. Capitol on January 6 is an offense to our shared values of law, order, and justice and an offense to the police who protected us.
As I attend the inauguration of our 47th President today, I will carry the spirit of MLK’s message with me and hope President Trump and my fellow Americans will meet this moment with grace.
The Reverend Martin Luther King, Jr. once said, “The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.”
Today, I think of the enduring legacy of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., a steadfast warrior for civil rights. As a member of Congress, I consider it a duty to continue his work and help our nation fulfill its promise to recognize all its people as equals.
News on the Inauguration: If you won tickets to the inauguration through my office lottery, they can no longer be used for admission to the official inauguration ceremony. It's been moved inside to the Capitol Rotunda because of weather concerns. Please visit inaugural.senate.gov for info, details.
Thank you to everyone who attended, including fellow members from both sides of the aisle, the French Ambassador to the U.S. Laurent Bili, and the statue's sculptor, Zenos Frudakis.
