Internal ICE records reveal a rise in the use of force in detention centers under Trump. ICE agents are operating with impunity. We need to dismantle this agency and get accountability for the cruelty and pain they’ve inflicted on people across this country.

I’m so proud to be part of the amazing group of women standing with @replamonica.bsky.social. Trump’s Department of Justice is politically targeting Rep. McIver because she conducted congressional oversight of a detention facility. This is their attempt at intimidation — it won’t work.

This National Small Business Week, as Trump gives tax breaks to billionaire corporations and slashes funding for small businesses, shop small and shop local! It is critical that we support and celebrate the businesses that shape our communities.
Today, a $920 MILLION bet was placed just 70 minutes before news broke of the US and Iran nearing a deal. We’ve now seen a pattern of perfectly timed bets right before the Trump administration makes news about the war. Someone is raking it in big — this reeks of corruption.
I visited OSL Serves, an organization fighting hunger, to discuss their work serving nutritious meals to thousands across our community. Trump and Republicans have slashed food assistance, but thanks to the work of groups like OSL, our neighbors are able to put food on the table.

Hundreds of people came out for a Climate Town Hall, hosted by @actonclimateus.bsky.social, to share their thoughts and discuss how we can fight forward to protect our communities and our planet. The climate crisis is here and now, and we won’t stop fighting.

NEW: 30 House Democrats are demanding answers from the Trump administration about Israel’s nuclear program. As the US engages in an illegal war alongside the Israeli government, the American people and our troops deserve transparency about the full nuclear risks of this war.
Green header labeled "NEW," followed by bold text stating, "30 House Democrats Demand End to Ambiguity in Israel's Nuclear Capabilities." Below, there is smaller text explaining that 30 House Democrats are calling for the U.S. Department of State to hold Israel to the same standards as other countries concerning nuclear capabilities, aiming to end long-standing ambiguity and promote transparency.
Today is Missing and Murdered Indigenous Persons Awareness Day, a reminder of all the missing and murdered Indigenous people, and the violence this community has faced for generations. Indigenous communities deserve answers, justice, and safety. Our government must do better.
Trump putting a photo of himself on national park passes is flagrant self-promotion and goes against federal law. @rephuffman.bsky.social and I are supporting legal efforts to depoliticize access to our national parks.
Enrique is a TPS holder who has been legally living and working in the United States for over 13 years. If his TPS is terminated, he could be deported to unsafe conditions immediately — a limbo that millions are living with under Trump.
Last night, I hosted a briefing to discuss the humanitarian crisis in Cuba and what I saw on my recent Congressional delegation to the country. Thank you to panelists Cindy Domingo and Deb Goldman for an important discussion, and to all who came out to learn more.
