A judge has blocked the Trump admin’s attempts to block Members of Congress from making unannounced inspection visits to ICE detention facilities AGAIN.
It is our duty to conduct oversight — and we will not let Trump and his lawless DHS stand in the way of that.

Amazing to see so many Grammy winners using their time and platform last night to lift up the contributions of immigrants!!
Mike Johnson handing Congress’s constitutional power to the cult party of Trump — allowing their lawlessness to continue without checks.
Congress has the power of the purse, and we can and must use it to rein in ICE and CBP.
When Democrats take the majority, DHS needs to be overhauled. In the meantime, we demand clear guardrails for ICE and CBP.
No warrantless arrests, no masks, no private, for-profit detention centers. And there must be independent investigations and real accountability.
It was so great to meet with so many groups and local leaders who are doing such incredible work in Seattle and beyond.
Thank you to J Street, Jewish Voice for Peace, and IAFF for sitting down and for everything you do!
“As a result of consolidation, corporate has been running skeleton crews at our store for years.”
The Lake City Fred Meyer store closure directly impacted Melissa and her community. Listen to her story.
Today marks the start of Black History Month — a time to recognize both the hardships endured by and celebrate the achievements of Black Americans.
As the Trump admin attempts to erase Black history — it’s critical that we honor Black history, voices, and leaders every single day.
The hateful and white supremacist messaging coming from this administration is disgraceful and dangerous — but unfortunately not surprising.
We cannot let this become normal.

“This business represents years of sacrifice, long hours, and the belief that hard work and persistence should still mean something in this country.”
Listen to Cynthia’s story about how corporate consolidation has threatened her small business.
The government should work for the American people, not spend billions of taxpayer dollars on agencies that are terrorizing communities. There must be accountability and real change.
Congratulations to the newest justice on the Washington State Supreme Court, Justice Colleen Melody!

“We need to rebuild, protect, and support local regional food infrastructure.”
Mike Callicrate, an independent cattle producer, details his experience in the industry as monopolies have taken over the market. Listen to his story:
Today, I joined local leaders and advocates to organize our response to the potential for surging ICE presence in our community.
We are coordinated and will not back down. ICE has no place in Seattle.
I met with the Seattle Mayor, King County Executive, and a coalition of labor, faith, and immigrant rights groups to strategize on how we can all defend our community from ICE.
We’re standing together and staying coordinated to protect our community from Trump’s attacks.
As co-chair of the Monopoly Busters Caucus, I hosted a field hearing this week on how we can take on the mega-corporations that are driving up the cost of groceries.
Thank you to all @repemilyrandall.bsky.social, @repkimschrier.bsky.social, and @repvalhoyle.bsky.social, and the witnesses.
Don Lemon and Georgia Fort were arrested by federal agents for documenting ICE protests in MN.
Trump’s DOJ is going down his hit list of political enemies. This is a blatant attack on the First Amendment and the press.

Thank you to @repemilyrandall.bsky.social, @repkimschrier.bsky.social, and @repvalhoyle.bsky.social for coming to the first Monopoly Busters Caucus field hearing on corporate consolidation and rising food prices.
Yesterday, @repemilyrandall.bsky.social and I met with workers and union leaders at the Starbucks Workers United Strike Kitchen.
So proud of these workers who are standing up for the working conditions and pay they deserve! It’s time for Starbucks to come to the table and negotiate.
At my town hall, we stood together to send our love and support to Minnesota as Trump and DHS continue their deadly assault on the community.
We will NEVER stop fighting for our people, this country, and our democracy.
