Civilians always pay the price of war. In Iran, strikes have hit schools, clinics, pharmacies, and hospitals, and at least 1,700 civilians have reportedly been killed. We need to permanently end this war.
I came back to D.C. this week to try to stop Donald Trump’s reckless war in Iran – but Republicans in Congress refused to recognize us and let us speak on the House Floor. We won’t be deterred, and we will keep doing everything we can to end this war.
More American workers are struggling rather than thriving – they can’t find good jobs and they’re pessimistic about the future. Donald Trump’s economy is making the American Dream a myth (unless, of course, you’re already rich and powerful).
Israel killed at least 254 people and wounded over 1,000 in just 10 minutes in Lebanon today, making it the deadliest day of the war. Trump needs to tell Netanyahu to include Lebanon in the ceasefire, and both leaders need to permanently end this war.
This ceasefire doesn’t cancel out the fact that Donald Trump threatened a genocide of 93 million people in Iran. Republicans need to abandon their blind loyalty to the President and work with us to hold him accountable – whether it’s through impeachment or the 25th Amendment.
The President just threatened genocide.
The Joint Chiefs of Staff must disregard any such military orders that violate federal and international law.
Republicans in Congress can't hide anymore: we must consider all options – including impeachment – to stop Trump.
Nurul Amin Shah Alam’s death is on Border Patrol’s hands. They will continue to kill people unless we stop them.
Even though Americans can’t afford groceries or health care and we’re in *another* endless war, Donald Trump is spending his time daydreaming about the color palette of his presidential library. He’s a disgrace.
I call bullshit on this. Donald Trump is *choosing* to put our country deeper in debt for a war Americans don’t want instead of investing in things like child care and health care that actually pay for themselves in the long run.
In the 5 weeks since Donald Trump decided to launch a war with Iran, gas prices have jumped by over $1/gallon in San Diego because so many oil tankers are stuck in the Strait of Hormuz. That’s a HUGE increase, and everything else is still just as expensive.
I’m glad Pam Bondi was fired. But she still needs to answer for her botched handling of the Epstein Files before the House Oversight Committee this month.
Donald Trump took our country to war with Iran and stuck the rest of us with the bill. While regular working people struggle to make ends meet, Trump is living in his own delusional reality with ballrooms and billionaires.
Donald Trump’s “SAVE Act” would make it so much harder for real Americans to vote – like the married woman who can't find her marriage license, the rural voter who'd have to drive 8 hours round-trip to re-register, the hourly worker who can't get time off.
Americans need health care, not war.
The fact that my Republican colleagues in Congress are even considering cutting more from Americans’ health care to pay for Donald Trump’s expensive, illegal, and reckless war in Iran is shameful.
Wishing everyone who celebrates a happy Passover, as we join friends and families at Seders in San Diego and around the world. Chag Sameach!
Vice President JD Vance’s task force on fraud claims to be focused on “finding the fraudsters who are robbing hard-working Americans.”
The call is coming from inside the (White) House, JD.
Trump started this war in Iran without considering the cost or consequences.
Gas prices are already skyrocketing and soon, this war will drive up the price of food. Trump needs to end this war now.
To acting head of ICE Todd Lyons and any other Trump official struggling under the weight of carrying out the President’s harmful agenda, I offer you a simple solution: resign.
Trump is failing so badly at making deals (see: Iran, DHS funding, Ukraine, tariff negotiations, etc…) that he’s turned to making up elaborate fantasies.
President Trump called the skyrocketing price of gas due to his war in Iran “a small price to pay” – but try telling that to Americans who are having to cut back on things like groceries just to pay for gas to get to work.
Trump is so out of touch.
