Ramadan Mubarak to all celebrating in NW Ohio, and around the globe. May you find connection and meaning in time spent with family, community, and those you love during this important time of reflection and prayer.
Interested in the future of public transit in NW Ohio? TARTA is looking for public input on their Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) plans to make riding faster, more reliable, and easier to use for all in our communities. Make your voice heard by filling out the survey at: brtsurvey.tarta.com
So grateful for the opportunity to join the Women Religious Archive Collaborative for its celebration of the service and lived history of Catholic Sisters across the United States.
On #PresidentsDay remembering important contributions of great Presidents throughout 250 years of our nation’s history. Vision and courage will preserve our strength and maintain the inheritance our past leaders left for us and future generations.
The EPA’s mission is “to protect human health and the environment” using the best available scientific information. Protecting the health of the American people requires environmental protections and a balanced approach—not political games.
As Ohioans on @Democrats-Appropriations.House.gov Ag Subcommittee and @HouseAgDems.bsky.social @RepShontelBrown.bsky.social and I know how important farmers are to Ohio’s economy. In Huron at Mucci Farms & The Chef’s Garden we discussed a strong Farm Bill and year round Ohio agriculture production.
During this #BlackHistoryMonth Ohio's own Laila Edwards became the first Black woman ever to play for Team USA in Olympic Women's Ice Hockey history. Her story reminds us that progress doesn't just happen by accident. With the Quarterfinals today I join all of Ohio in saying: Go Laila! Go Team USA!
With bipartisan support, it’s time to end the damaging Trump tariff regime on Canada. Canada is our neighbor, our ally, our friend. Our Great Lakes regional economy is the third largest in the world, and like no other. Let's strengthen our economy, and make life affordable again.
Social Security is a sacred trust, a solemn promise to generations of America's workers that includes a retirement benefit, a disability benefit in the event of injury, and a survivorship insurance benefit for families. This belongs to all Americans who work and pay into this hard earned benefit.
Welcoming @UAW.org Local 12 and Local 14 members from across NW Ohio to DC today. As a proud daughter of the United Auto Workers, I will always stand with the hardworking men and women who make it here in America. Thank you for coming to Washington and ensuring your voices are heard!
Celebrating a hometown institution that keeps NW Ohio moving—the Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority—proudly marking 55 years of service. TARTA has linked workers to jobs, seniors to medical care, students to education, families to first ballgames, family and class reunions, and everyday life.
This is a slap in the face to NW Ohio cattlemen struggling to make a living. After giving $40 Billion to bailout Argentina before bailing out American farmers impacted by his trade wars, now we are helping Argentina again? This Administration is selling out American farmers!

At UToledo, Sophomore Rocket Miriam Diala was greeted after a hard fought win by her mother Francisca, who traveled 4,300 miles to see her daughter play women's college basketball at UT in person for the first time. Just imagine the embrace in the stands, the tears, the joy, and the gratitude.

Sharing an urgent plea for small family owned farms, especially across the American Heartland and the NW Ohio communities I represent. Over the past year, they've endured setback after setback, including the driest spells in more than a decade and lost export markets across the world due to tariffs.
