Thanks to all for the warm welcome at the All Saints Polish Festival in Rossford. Always love spending time enjoying our shared cultural heritage.
While lasting peace and end to the conflict in Gaza must involve a return of hostages and end of Israeli military action, the need to get aid to starving people is urgent and must be swift. If action isn’t taken more innocent people will starve and die. Our nation and our world must act.
The Birmingham neighborhood in East Toledo is celebrating its library’s Centennial. A fun afternoon to be on hand where learning and community were lifted up.
Life is about doing little things with great love. Glad to be reminded of that both by this quote, and a mother calming her son. Something we can all take heed of in these turbulent times.
Planting forward — $6 Million in federal funds delivered for RE-TREE Toledo. We are educating a future generation of urban foresters. This new Urban Forestry Youth Training Program will plant the seed for our youth to learn important trade skills for tomorrow.
Celebrating 250 years for our US Postal Service today. Across America the hardworking men and women of USPS deliver day in, day out—no matter the weather—through rain, snow, sleet, hail, and heat.

Today marks the 250th anniversary of our Postal Service. Letter carriers proudly carry on the tradition of universal mail service, serving 300+ million Americans without relying on taxpayer dollars. We go the distance for every home & business, in every ZIP code, just as our founders intended.
🚨Our kids are worth fighting for! It took our bipartisan effort—more than 150 Members—calling on the Department of Education and OMB to convince the White House that our children are more important than their cold-hearted politics. Glad to see $5 Billion restored to educate kids across America.
Still just horrified by the ambush attack that took the life of Lorain Officer Phillip Wagner and injured Officers Peter Gale and Brent Payne. They worked every day to protect their community. With hate and violence on the rise, we can all do our part to help take down the temperature.

Moves by the Trump administration to pare back Medicaid, rescind medical debt rules and loosen vaccine requirements threaten to increase medical bills for millions of Americans.
Happy to be back home and busy in the garden. Blessed by the bounty of the largest watershed in the entire Great Lakes — Lake Erie’s Western Basin. 😊
President Trump's reckless tariff policies have devastated our American auto industry. Jeep Stellantis reported losing $2.7 Billion — while GM's CEO said tariffs cost $1.1 Billion, and next quarter will be worse. We need real trade reform, balanced trade accounts, and sensible policies, not drama.
There is an effect when you fire hardworking people from government. With children dying in Gaza, Africa and hungry kids at home — burned food aid could have kept people alive. The GOP and the White House must take responsibility and recognize their decisions and what happens next have consequences.

Whose name is on that sack of flour? Whose name is on the door of the clinic? Whose name is on the schoolbook? The United States of America.
It must remain that way.

The Archbold Buckeye published its final edition on June 25th after 120 years of unwavering service to Archbold, Pettisville, and greater Fulton County, Ohio. It held value as a small town newspaper that has been far more than print and ink. It was part of the beating heart that is NW Ohio.

Honored a true pillar of our Northwest Ohio community, Mr. Joe Szafarowicz, an educator, mentor, and lifelong advocate for young people. For more than five decades, he has shaped lives not just by teaching in the classroom, but by investing in the boundless potential of every child he encountered.

Last summer, the House GOP shut down work in mid-July instead of finding the big middle on bipartisan infrastructure reform.
This summer, with costs rising on everything, they'd rather go home than tell the truth about Epstein. The American people sent us here to do hard work, not skip town early.

July is UV Safety Month so here is a reminder to protect your skin, eyes, and loved ones from harmful sun exposure. We're on track to be the hottest summer on record so take extra care:
-Seek shade
-Wear protective clothing and sunglasses
-Use broad spectrum SPF 15+ sunscreen
Stay safe out there!
