It is an urgent need that peace-seeking civilians have access to relief and support. I continue to call upon the Administration to prioritize the safe and timely delivery of aid to the people of Gaza. The destruction of innocent people is never morally justifiable.
The United States stands with our ally in its time of need to counter the threat to Israel from terrorists and to free hostages who remain in grave danger. We must prioritize the safety of innocent civilians in Gaza and beyond and pray for compassion and understanding in the days ahead.
REMINDER there is one (1) week left to apply for the Spring 2024 internship cohort in our DC Office. We are looking for hardworking, bright individuals looking to gain invaluable experience working in public service — Ohioans, tell your family, tell your friends, and apply today!
As a daughter of the UAW, the historic stand up strike was deeply personal to me. So proud of workers from GM, Ford, and Stellantis for standing together to get agreements that allow them to earn the wages and benefits they deserve.
Kindness on full display today, helping jump start Gregory’s stalled Jeep. Jamie ran into nearby store to buy a Coke, poured it over the battery, to eat away the corrosion. A resourceful Jeep retiree loaned his cables. Complete strangers solving a problem together. 🇺🇸👏👏👏👏🇺🇸
The House GOP have elected a Speaker of the House. Now it’s time that we get the People’s House back to Regular Order and do the work the American people sent us here to do.
To allow the House to remain in free fall is not in America’s interest. The clock is ticking. Members who wish to meet their sworn duty should be allowed to function. The GOP should take the handcuffs off the House, and elect a Speaker. My Roll Call Op-Ed:
Joined The Junction Coalition today to announce $600,000 in CDC funding to spur on community engagement, educational programming, and ultimately reduce and prevent lead exposure in Toledo.
Glad to join Canadian Ambassador to the United States Kirsten Hillman earlier this week, as we recognized $2.3 Billion in annual exports from OH-09 to our largest international trading partner.
Congratulations to Ohio State Football on a hard fought win against undefeated Penn State Football. Got a chance to meet one of their biggest fans earlier this month—Jon “Big Nut” Peters, who I know was rooting them on to victory today.
Applauding President Biden for his strong and personal words tonight as he addressed the nation. Let Congress act with dispatch to heal the deep wounds of body and soul in Israel and for the Palestinian people, and continue its support of Ukraine’s noble fight for Liberty.
Today is the 75th International Credit Union Day—credit unions around the globe, across our country, and throughout NW Ohio use it to raise awareness and celebrate what makes credit unions unique: the mission to bring financial inclusion and well-being to people all over the world.
I reiterate my call for the House to work in bipartisan fashion and find the Big Middle — the place where we come together in common interest for a better America that works for All the People.
