Trump is trying to invade "blue states" with National Guard from other states. We just halted this authoritarian invasion through a federal court.
We are the UNITED States of America. States cannot invade each other. Our National Guard deserve better than to be used as props.

My statement as we mark two years since October 7th.
Today I joined @khanna.house.gov in calling on the State Department to secure the release of our California constituents on the Global Sumud Flotilla who were detained by Israel.
The Administration must act immediately to ensure the safety of U.S. citizens abroad.
It's day 6 of the Republican Shutdown. Mike Johnson still refuses to bring us back to Washington.
Trump is defunding nutrition assistance for Women, Infants, & Children (WIC) during the shutdown, stripping 32,000 mamas & babies in CA-37 of this lifeline. It's just cruel.
Can confirm it’s true: a furloughed constituent of mine was told to set an out-of-office email blaming Democrats for the shutdown.
Republicans control the government. They caused this shutdown by refusing to work with Democrats—now they’re trying to dodge accountability.
Trump and Republicans shut down the federal government.
While I fight to reopen the government and protect your health care, my office remains ready to help during these uncertain times.
Mike Johnson is keeping Republicans on vacation during the government shutdown because he doesn't want to swear in @adelitaforcongress.bsky.social. Why?
She would be the final signature needed to release the Epstein Files.
Trump’s “armed conflict” claim is complete BS. Where is the proof that drug trafficking constitutes an armed attack & traffickers are unlawful combatants?
The Administration isn’t giving Congress any evidence because they can’t justify their own claims. This sh*t is NOT legal.
What kind of country do we live in if Trump’s goons can break and enter, destroy your home, and detain you for hours for no reason?
It’s sure as hell not a free one.
It's day four of the Trump Shutdown, and Republicans still refuse to negotiate with Democrats to save health care.
📺 Tune in to @msnbc.com today at 3:00PM ET/12:00PM PT to learn where we go from here.
It’s day three of the Republican Shutdown.
That means today’s magic number is three because Republicans control the White House, the House, and Senate. If they want to end the shutdown, that’s on them.
Russ Vought is illegally stealing money from Californians.
This was Trump and Republicans' plan all along: shut down the government to create an excuse to steal from the American people.
But the Constitution is on our side—we'll fight to get this money back.
It’s day two of the Trump government shutdown.
And today’s number is two — because if Trump and Republicans keep refusing to work with Democrats to protect health care, your Affordable Care Act premiums could double.
Still need proof a shutdown was always Trump’s plan?
Americans don’t want soaring health costs, lost jobs, or disrupted services.
For Trump, a shutdown is just an excuse to keep dismantling the government and gutting the programs people rely on.
Wishing all those observing Yom Kippur in Los Angeles and across the world a meaningful fast and day of reflection.
G’mar chatima tovah—may you be sealed in the Book of Life.
It’s day one of the Trump government shutdown.
Trump and Republicans shut down the government to double your health care premiums. Pass it on.
I'm riding with @housedemocrats.bsky.social & the Congressional Black Caucus.
We're willing to go to the end for the American people to protect health care—because we're just as tired as Trump's BS as you.
My statement on the Republican shutdown.
As the Trump-Republican shutdown takes effect at midnight, I’ll be live with @repyvetteclarke.bsky.social , @meeks.house.gov, and @amo.house.gov to discuss how we got here—and what it means for our communities. Tune in.

American citizens aren't the enemy, and our cities aren't a "training ground" for troops. LA knows the terror that Trump's authoritarian tactics cause, and they could come to your city soon.
American cities & our troops deserve better than to be used as props for Trump's stunts.
