Democrats WON when Senate Republicans joined us to vote to fund the Department of Homeland Security without funding ICE or border patrol.
But instead of letting the House vote on this bill, loser Mike Johnson decided to continue the shutdown because he refuses to rein in ICE.

I am pissed. The Congressional Black Caucus is pissed. The @demwomencaucus.bsky.social is pissed. And you should be too.
We’re not gonna let Pete Hegseth’s unqualified self derail the careers of exemplary, deserving servicemembers simply because of his and Trump's racism and misogyny.
It would be no surprise that the most corrupt president in history stole documents for personal financial gain.
This is a man who has exploited the presidency to make over $1 billion from crypto alone just this term.
The presidency isn't a tool to make money. We need answers.
This is crazy. Why would you not want to ask the Trump Administration questions about a war that they want an additional $200 BILLION for??
Republicans need to step up and do their jobs—and if they don't want to work, they don't deserve their government paychecks.
Women remain underpaid and undervalued, despite the vital role we play in strengthening our society and economy.
This Equal Pay Day, I’m fighting for fair wages, expanded opportunities, and true equity for all women in the workplace.
With Trump unleashing a reckless war of choice in Iran, I know you want answers.
I'm hosting a telephone town hall to hear from you this Thursday, March 26, at 6PM PT.
To get a call from me, RSVP by Thursday at 9AM PT at: kamlager-dove.house.gov/live
Big win for the First Amendment and freedom of the press.
Fighting back works. This fight for our democracy is worth it.
The Senate just confirmed Markwayne Mullin—someone who has no law enforcement, military, or disaster response experience—to be Trump's next Secretary of Homeland Security.
Just like with Kristi Noem, I’ll keep fighting to hold DHS leadership accountable for ICE’s lawlessness.
Trump has deployed the same ICE agents who are killing citizens in our streets and terrorizing our communities to our airports.
ICE out of our cities—and our airports. Just fund TSA.
Trump is refusing to fund TSA, FEMA, and other essential parts of DHS while letting ICE terrorize our communities (and now, airports).
Democrats and Senate Republicans support funding DHS but not ICE. Long lines at the airports and missed paychecks are entirely Trump's fault.
Yet another example of costs going up under Trump
So sanctions relief to secure a nuclear deal with Iran is dumb, but sanctions relief while you’re waging a war on Iran (because you ripped up that nuclear deal) is smart? We have officially lost the plot.
Another absurd failure in Trump’s disastrous foreign policy.
Eid Mubarak to all those celebrating!
May this holiday bring you happiness, peace, and good health after a month of reflection during Ramadan.
Sending love to my friend and Judiciary Committee seatmate @repmoskowitz.bsky.social, who was a target of an antisemitic assassination plot.
With antisemitism and antisemitic violence on the rise, we must stand with our Jewish brothers and sisters against this hate that makes us all less safe.
It's hard to get around LA with these gas prices so high. They just hit $5.76 today.
Let's be real: there's one cause for these high prices, and it's Trump's reckless war in Iran.
Glad that the WNBA and the players' association ironed out a fair deal before the season tips off following our letters from @demwomencaucus.bsky.social.
This is a big win for the players, the league, and women's sports! Looking forward to watching my LA Sparks this year! 💛💜
I'm glad the city made this move. We will continue fighting for farm workers and our Latino communities. 2/2
The revelations about César Chávez are deeply disturbing and serious. I stand with Dolores Huerta, Ana Murguia, Debra Rojas, and all survivors.
But the labor movement is bigger than one man—and a movement is only as strong as its willingness to hold its leaders accountable. 1/2
Gas prices have skyrocketed to $3.79 per gallon nationwide—and it's $5.63 here in LA.
We’re already paying for this stupid, reckless war of choice at the pump—we are not about to fork over $100 billion in taxpayer dollars for it too.
