The power to send this country to war belongs to Congress. The framers built it that way because they had just escaped a king who could march a nation into war on a whim. They never wanted that power in 1 set of hands again.
For four months, one man decided we were at war.
Today, the House said no.
We passed a war powers resolution ordering our troops out of Iran unless Congress votes to keep them there. Not the President alone. Congress. The people’s representatives.
Call me crazy, but doesn’t a “ceasefire” mean you actually cease firing?

This is your daily reminder that Trump and Republicans are spending billions of your tax dollars on an unauthorized war in Iran and Stephen Miller’s ICE agenda while gutting Medicaid, slashing SNAP, and driving up your health care costs.
A drone parts company Trump Jr. holds a stake in is also under Pentagon review.
This is not a one-off. It is a pattern. The president’s family is treating the federal Treasury like a private bank, and the bill lands on every taxpayer.

A federal judge just ordered Trump’s name off the Kennedy Center. Good. It never belonged there. The name is coming down, now or later.
If they’re short a volunteer, I will personally climb the ladder and take the name down myself.
They are not in Washington to drain the swamp.

My Appropriations amendment was simple. Bar the President, the Vice President, and members of Congress from cashing in on Trump’s $1.8 billion January 6th slush fund, unless a court actually awarded them the money.
Every Republican on the committee who was present voted no.
