Does this administration understand basic economics? How the hell is blockading the place where gas comes from going to lower gas prices? Explain it to us like we’re in 5th grade.
Investing in the arts is investing in our mental health & wellbeing.
Honored to attend UMass’ Art for the Common Good to speak with artists, healthcare providers, policymakers, researchers & local leaders about the importance of creativity. Thanks for hosting a great event!
Gas in my hometown of Worcester is now well over $4 a gallon...
…and Trump’s big plan is a blockade of the blockade of the strait that 20% of the world’s oil passes through.
This guy is weapons-grade stupid.

I am repulsed by this photo. Does Trump now think he is Jesus? First he attacks and insults Pope Leo, now he depicts himself as Christ and tries to mock God. This is outrageous, offensive, and profane. Clearly he is not well. As an American, a Catholic, a human—I am disgusted.
I applaud the people of Hungary for exercising their democratic freedoms and rejecting authoritarianism.
I look forward to the new Hungarian government prioritizing human rights, strengthening EU and NATO ties, and standing against those who advocate illiberalism in Europe.
Americans are leaving America in record droves because they can’t afford to live in Trump’s Economy.
He’s spectacularly failing at the #1 thing he promised—and was elected—to do.
I just conducted oversight of an ICE facility in Burlington. Many of the people being held there are NOT the worst of the worst—they’re hardworking folks like Orlando, who simply want to support their family and give back to the community. Here’s a small part of his story.
Trump wants a $350 BILLION slush fund to drag out his war of choice in Iran. With that money, we could PERMANENTLY extend healthcare tax credits.
He wants to bomb children half way around the world instead of lowering the cost of healthcare here at home. Beyond screwed up.
In the richest country in history, it’s unconscionable that 46 million people go hungry.
Thankfully, organizations like City Fresh Foods in Roxbury are fighting to ensure our neighbors have access to nutritious food. Thanks Sheldon & team for your incredible work & the amazing tour!
Young people are the future—and because of the incredible young leaders I met at UMass’ National Political Science Honor Society—I can confidently say that our future is in good hands.
Thanks for inviting me to speak about the importance of public service at your annual induction ceremony!
Trump lied. He is going after good people. Decent people. People who belong with their families and in their communities—not detained in an ICE facility. The American people need to see this for what it is. It is wrong. And I am not going to stay quiet about it.
Inside that facility, I saw the human cost of this cruelty up close. This is not about safety. It is not about justice. It is about fear, dehumanization, and an administration that treats decent people like they are disposable.
ICE honored the court order and let me in. They did not let in my staff. What I saw was very concerning. They are detaining people who should not be there at all. They are targeting people who are part of our communities. They are not going after the worst of the worst.
The American people deserve the truth. When an administration is rounding people up, hiding behind locked doors, and constantly lying, Congress has a responsibility to show up, ask questions, and demand answers.
I went because the law gives Members of Congress the right to inspect these facilities without warning.
We continue having to sue to ensure the administration complies with the law. We continue winning.
NEWS: I just conducted an unannounced oversight visit of an ICE facility in Burlington, Massachusetts. A 🧵
40% of households in Massachusetts are food insecure—and that’s 40% too much.
I’m grateful that the Greater Boston Food Bank & Mass General Brigham’s Annual Statewide Food Access Study is bringing attention to the severity of the hunger crisis in America.
Netanyahu's ongoing bombardment of Lebanon, which has killed civilians for weeks, threatens to plunge the region into even further chaos & unravel the ceasefire. Trump needs to stand up to Netanyahu. He needs to save the deal he negotiated. He has leverage. He should use it!
