Officials have confirmed that a 51-year-old man has died as a result of a fatal shooting at the hands of a federal agent. There must be a full and transparent investigation into this killing, and it must be led by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.
Thank you to neighbors across Minnesota today who are bundled up and marching to defend our communities against the Trump administration's invasion and occupation of our state. We will remain united and peaceful as we live our Minnesota values of showing respect and dignity to everyone.
The 140th Saint Paul Winter Carnival kicks off today! ❄️ Due to dangerously cold weather, tonight and tomorrow’s outdoor activities have been cancelled. There are still plenty of indoor activities planned to keep you warm! More details here: kstp.com/kstp-news/lo...
Why are federal agents terrorizing and tracking teenagers and kids in Minnesota?!? Our community deserves answers.
Moments ago, I voted NO on the DHS funding bill. I refuse to vote for any funding for DHS while they violate the constitutional rights of Minnesotans. Americans should be outraged that Republicans gave their stamp of approval for DHS to continue their campaign of chaos, violence, and tyranny.
Republican threats to women’s health care access are increasing as we mark the 53rd anniversary of Roe v. Wade — the fourth since it was overturned. I’ll continue to fight to protect your rights to safe, affordable, and comprehensive health care.
Minnesotans are being racially profiled on a mass scale, assaulted on our streets, and kidnapped from our communities.
Not one penny of our taxpayers' dollars should go to DHS while our constitutional rights are being violated.
I will vote NO on DHS funding today.
ICE, CBP, and DHS agents have repeatedly violated Minnesotans' civil rights during President Trump's invasion and occupation of our state.
I refuse to fund an agency that violates the law with impunity.
Cruel. Immoral. Inhumane.
ICE agents tracked and apprehended a 5-year-old in his own driveway. Then agents used him as 'bait' to lure his family despite their pending asylum case.
This wasn’t a mistake. ICE detained at least 3 other children this week.
The BWCA is our nation’s most-visited wilderness area, and its headwaters should be protected from toxic mining. Instead of protecting this national treasure, Republicans voted to put one of the largest reserves of freshwater in the world in the direct path of acid mine drainage.
Mining in the BWCA watershed is a threat to our clean water AND our national security.
Here's what the Chilean mining company does — they ship copper ore to China, which smelts it and sells it globally, or uses it for their own weapons. H.J. Res. 140 must be defeated.
Today, the U.S. House will vote on Rep. Stauber's bill that would allow a foreign corporation to mine in the BWCA headwaters and send ore to China to be smelted and sold on the global market. Permanently polluting this pristine water is no laughing matter.
I stand with Minnesota doctors and nurses who are calling for DHS, CPB, and ICE to immediately stop interfering with patients’ healthcare services. Masked federal agents have absolutely no business getting between health care providers and their patients.
President Trump’s message to the world this morning? Another racist rant.
Trump’s rambling, ugly attacks are beneath his office and raise more questions about his capacity to serve. Minnesotans stand with our Somali neighbors and the contributions they make every day.
ICE's masked, untrained, and violent agents detained an American citizen on Sunday, then lied about him living with two felons. Kristi Noem is allowing ICE to detain whoever they want with no repercussions. Mr. Thao and all Americans deserve accountability for these actions.
The City of Roseville’s Parks and Recreation Department hosts a natural resources volunteer event on the third Saturday of every month. Look for future volunteer opportunities here: www.cityofroseville.com/2786/Natural...
Through service and community building, we remember Dr. King’s dream of justice and dignity for all and his lasting impact that continues to inspire us all.
It was a pleasure to be in Roseville’s Materion Park this morning to join residents and city staff who, despite the chilly weather, came together for a dormant season seeding of native plants as an act of service to honor the legacy of The Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
The record of incompetence by Sec. Noem & ICE/DHS is growing by the day. How is Minnesota and our nation any safer by these actions? Where is the rule of law? Where is the accountability? ICE must cease operations in our state immediately. www.twincities.com/2026/01/18/s...
Today, we honor and reflect on Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and his vision of a community united by love, justice, and equality for all. Now more than ever we recommit ourselves to remaining vigilant and continuing the fight for a better and more just world.
