For 250 years, America has been a beacon of freedom, justice, and democracy to the world – a light of hope and opportunity. President Trump betrays our American values by his actions to restrict those from countries he doesn’t like, including Laos, Afghanistan, and Burma.
This is outrageous. The Trump admin is giving permission to hospitals to turn away pregnant women whose health is in danger.
No federal law specifically protects LGBTQ+ Americans from discrimination. That’s wrong. That’s why I’m an original cosponsor of The Equality Act. This bill will protect LGBTQ+ Americans from discrimination in employment, housing, education, and more.
Happy Pride Month! 🏳️🌈
As Republican politicians bully and intimidate our LGBTQI+ family, friends and neighbors, I will always stand up to defend our entire community. Everyone deserves respect and dignity no matter their sexual orientation or gender identity.
Harvey Milk is an American hero who served our country honorably as a sailor in the U.S. Navy. There is no need to rename this ship. There is only one reason why Secretary Hegseth would announce the renaming of USNS Harvey Milk at the start of pride month: Homophobia.

Hubert H. Humphrey Job Corps has a 44 year track record building job skills and stability for young adults and a reliable workforce for Minnesota employers. Donald Trump’s cuts to Job Corps leave a hole in our community and across our nation — all to give tax cuts for billionaires.
Minnesota is home to 82,436 Somali Americans, and I’ve been hearing from my constituents who are concerned about the deteriorating security situation in Somalia. This editorial gets it right — leaving Somalia now will only empower terrorists in the region.
My office will host neighborhood hours Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at Hayden Heights Library in the Small Meeting Room from 10:00 AM until noon. My staff will be available to help you address any issue you may face in dealing with a federal agency. Learn more: mccollum.house.gov/contact/neig...
Every House Democrat voted against this bill. Leading with my Minnesota values and using my vote to defend our communities, I will do everything I can to oppose this GOP Tax Scam.
🪙 Meanwhile, working-class and middle-class families receive pennies. A family earning $50,000 or less would receive less than a dollar per day in tax cuts.
💰 Why is the GOP cutting these services that Minnesotans rely on? So millionaires and billionaires can get huge, permanent tax cuts. Those earning a million dollars would get a $90,000 tax cut, more money than most Minnesotans make in a year.
🥗 19,000 Minnesotans living in the East Metro would lose food assistance — that could lead to the equivalent of every resident of Lake Elmo and Oak Park Heights going to sleep and waking up hungry every day.
🏥 20,730 of our neighbors would have their health care stripped away — that's like every man, woman, and child in Stillwater losing their health care.
The GOP Tax Scam passed by the House in May would take away food and health care from working people in order to hand out massive tax breaks to millionaires and billionaires. This weekend, I hosted a panel of experts for a town hall to discuss how it would harm Minnesotans if signed into law. 🧵
Protecting U.S. supply chains is a matter of national security – and a matter of bipartisan agreement. I’m pleased to work with Congressman Finstad to advance the world’s first rare-earth-free magnet manufacturing in Minnesota and help build our national and economic security.
Nothing justifies the heinous attack on peaceful marchers supporting Israeli hostages yesterday in Boulder, Colorado. My thoughts are with all those injured as they recover. Acts of hate and political violence have no place in our nation.
I am LIVE in Stillwater for my Medicaid Matters Town Hall with a panel of experts to discuss the impact of President Trump's tax scam on Minnesota's children, families, and seniors. Tune in! www.youtube.com/live/LNYSj4X...
I’m grateful to residents of Scandia Shores for welcoming me today for a town hall discussion. Minnesotans want Congress to protect Medicaid, Medicare, and nutrition assistance. I’ll always stand up for you!
On Memorial Day, we pay tribute to the heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice to defend our freedom. To honor their service to our nation, we must carry forward the values of freedom, liberty, and democracy that they devoted their lives to protecting.
