The presence of ICE in our communities is not about public safety. It is about stoking fear and silencing peaceful dissent.
This is a direct attack on civil rights and due process to target communities of color. The depravity starts at the top, and Kristi Noem must be held accountable.
Please continue to stay in touch with my office, and don't hesitate to reach out if you need assistance.
I am grateful to every person who has called my office with concerns about new ICE operations in our community. To address some of these concerns, I have added additional information to my office's Know Your Rights webpage.
My colleagues and I are demanding transparency about the murders of civilians by ICE.

Georgia has a long and painful history of voter suppression. We will not be intimidated by anyone who seeks to undermine our democracy.
I am grateful to Former Special Counsel Jack Smith for testifying to @democrats-judiciary.house.gov about the facts.

Had a wonderful time in the garden with Rebuilding Together Atlanta and NPUH West Atlanta as we celebrated the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Thank you for having me!
As more and more of our world becomes familiar with AI, it’s important that Congress helps keep Americans safe and informed. Hear how kindergarteners in Georgia are enriching their learning 🎥
Hard-working Americans have earned their Social Security benefits with every paycheck. We must support and extend the program so that no one has to unexpectedly return to work in their 70's or 80's just to feed themselves.
In @democrats-judiciary.house.gov, I spoke in support of H.R. 2853, the Combating Organized Retail Crime Act. Organized retail theft is a large-scale criminal enterprise. This bipartisan solution protects workers, communities, and our economy.
Republicans were trying to pay the American people less for the hours they work.
I spoke against their proposed bill on the House floor with my Democratic colleagues and Republicans CANCELLED the vote. I'm proud to fight for working families in Georgia and across the country.
Happy Founders Day to my Sorors of Delta Sigma Theta! I am forever grateful for a sisterhood that shaped my values, strengthened my voice, and grounded me in service. It is an honor to be part of a legacy that uplifts communities and reminds us all that lasting progress is built together.
Today, I joined @neatoday.bsky.social to mark the 50th anniversary of IDEA. For years, families were promised the right to send their children to good public schools regardless of disability. That promise is under threat, and I will not stop fighting to protect it.

The House just voted to lower health care costs and extend the ACA tax credits for 3 years!
The Senate MUST VOTE NOW and prevent families from choosing to put food on the table and take care of their health.
Together, House Democrats just PASSED a bipartisan bill to extend health care cost savings for the American people.
I was a strong YES because no person should have to give up their care just because the price went up.
I am calling for a full, transparent investigation into ICE’s actions to ensure the truth is exposed and justice is served.
