Housing affordability is a major challenge across America & especially here in the Bay Area.
Thank you to nonprofit @mercyhousing.bsky.social for all you do & for showing me around your beautiful new affordable housing community & The Hub in Sunnydale, a vibrant community center in San Francisco.

We need reforms and a humane approach to immigration. But under Trump, people are being held longer and while Republicans sent $75B to ICE last summer, it continues to operate substandard facilities around the U.S. where death rates & illness have skyrocketed.
📰 kevinmullin.house.gov/2026/05/28/i...
Yesterday I made an unannounced visit to an ICE detention center in California City to conduct oversight with three of my Democratic congressional colleagues.
Civilians are being held in prison-like conditions with inadequate access to mental health care and asylum judges.
On this #MemorialDay, we remember and honor the fallen.🇺🇸 I was honored to participate in this year’s Hillsborough Memorial Day Parade to commemorate the sacrifices of our service members and their families.
That's why I authored the Empty Lots to Housing Act to help communities tackle this issue and remove some of the unnecessary barriers that have been preventing communities from building much-needed transit-oriented housing. 🏠
Families across America are experiencing the housing crisis, but many state and local governments are prevented from helping due to outdated regulations.
I secured $14.5 MILLION for local community projects last year, and just submitted this year’s requests for improvements in public infrastructure, climate resilience, public health and more!

Yesterday’s shooting in San Diego is a timely and tragic reminder of why communities need stronger protections against gun violence NOW. Proud to join @morelle.house.gov's effort to demand answers on why Trump’s DOJ is rolling back commonsense protections.
No one should ever have to fear for their safety when gathering in a place of worship, and acts of hate and violence like this have no place in our society.

Happy 61 years of @headstart.bsky.social! As the father of twin boys, I know how vital early investment to quality child care is for kids' development. Since 1965, this great program has served over 40 million children, providing essential education and nutrition and support to low-income families.
I was proud to lead an effort opposing the Trump Administration’s harmful passport policy changes targeting transgender, nonbinary, and intersex Americans, and will continue fighting against hate in all its forms. #IDAHOBIT
While extremist politicians try to dehumanize the transgender community, I'm working in Congress with the @equality.house.gov to protect the rights of LGBTQI+ people everywhere.
🇺🇸 Nothing like being home with family, friends and community. Thanks to City of San Carlos for a festive Hometown Days parade!
Today we honor the brave servicemembers who have put their lives on the line to protect and defend our country. Thank you for fighting for our freedoms. Happy #ArmedForcesDay!
Nearly 1.2M electric vehicle batteries will be retired every year, but we can give them a second life for use on farms and ranches. kevinmullin.house.gov/2026/05/14/r...
Thank you to Samaritan House in San Mateo for all the work you do to support our community, including running the Safe Harbor Shelter in South San Francisco, which I recently visited. Helping the unhoused with wrap-around services is essential to getting them stabilized and into permanent housing.
Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible moms who make everything possible.
And a special thank you to my wife Jessica, you are the backbone to our family. Your dedication and devotion to the community inspires me and our children. #mothersday
The anniversary of FDA’s approval of the first birth control pill marks a medical breakthrough that expanded freedom, opportunity & bodily autonomy for millions worldwide. +60yrs later, Republicans are attacking reproductive rights & restricting access to contraception, family planning & healthcare.
