On #EqualPayDay, let's remember that gender pay disparities not only harm individuals but weaken our entire economy. As a proud co-sponsor of the Paycheck Fairness Act, I am committed to ending the wage gap and ensuring equal pay for equal work.
Had an important conversation with Rutgers President Tate on how we can equip our students and professors with the tools they need for success. Investing in student success is how we drive progress.
Our Passport Day is only a week away! We've partnered with Rep. McIver and Hudson County Clerk Maldonado to help you with any passport assistance! Please email our team to schedule your appointment. If you can't make it and need assistance, please call us at (201) 309-0301.
What's happening right now at our airports is Project 2025 in action. Just like with so much of government, Republicans want to break it to convince you the only way to fix it is by privatizing it. They are wrong. Our government belongs to all of us.
Happy National Agriculture Day, Garden State! 🍅🍄‍🟫 In Congress, I'm fighting to pass legislation that gives our local producers more resources and helps ensure every community has access to fresh, healthy food.
New Jersey families are being crushed by rising electric bills & AI data centers are a major reason why. That's why I've introduced legislation with @repcasar.bsky.social that would make sure these data centers - not our families - are accountable for their costs.
📢 Families shouldn't have to worry about whether they can afford their next doctor's visit. I joined Latino leaders in DC to share how I'm fighting to lower insurance bills & make sure the system actually works for families.
A blanket ban on state AI laws would stop New Jersey from advancing responsible AI regulation and derail the common-sense guardrails we’re already leading on. Proud to join my colleagues on legislation that would prohibit Trump's already announced AI executive order from taking effect.
The WH National AI Policy Framework reinforces the Trump administration’s commitment to preempting state-level AI laws without the establishment of clear, enforceable federal guardrails to address the urgent risks posed by AI systems. It even seeks to limit Congressional regulatory action. 1/
This goes against ICE's own mandate that agents are not permitted to leave minors alone after arresting their parents or guardians. These stories and so many others that I’ve heard firsthand are why I will continue fighting to protect our communities and to do everything to end ICE.
If you don’t believe ICE needs to be abolished then read this story: A New Jersey father was pulled over, handcuffed, and detained by ICE while driving his 13-year-old daughter and 15-year-old son to school. The ICE agents then left the kids abandoned in their car on the side of the road.
16 years ago, the ACA was signed into law to expand access to affordable healthcare. Today, House Democrats are fighting to keep your monthly healthcare bills low and stop Republicans from trying to raise your costs.
Thank you to the first responders who have been working throughout the night. As we learn more about the crash, we must do everything we can to ensure this doesn’t happen again.
Devastating to hear of the crash at LGA last night. My thoughts are with the victims, their families, the PANYNJ firefighters injured last night, and everyone impacted by this tragedy.
📍Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade in Bayonne 🇮🇪 It's always great celebrating the rich culture and roots of our Irish communities here in Bayonne and beyond. Thankful to spend today with so many friends and neighbors. 🫶
Instead of paying TSA agents, Trump is sending his overpaid, undertrained paramilitary to our airports. This is dangerous & completely unnecessary. Democrats have tried for weeks to fully fund TSA. It’s long past time for Republicans to stop fueling the Trump chaos machine & do the right thing.
