📍Celebrating 90 years of Goya with a day of giving in Jersey City 🙏 Grateful to join neighbors for #GoyaGiveDay to help get food to families across our communities.
Trump is only doing this because he knows if Republicans had to compete in a free and fair election tomorrow, they would lose. Elections are run by states, not by Trump. This is unconstitutional and it will be fought.
Thankful for the opportunity to join Mayor Solomon and council members at Jersey City’s Trans Day of Visibility. My message was simple: real courage isn’t about putting people down—it’s about lifting each other up. I will always fight for everyone’s right to live with dignity. 🏳️‍⚧️
From Jimmy Kimmel to 60 Minutes, the Trump Administration is trying to control how we get our news. This is political censorship, plain and simple. I called Republicans out on it.
Proud to stand with @pressley.house.gov in her successful drive to force a vote to extend TPS protections for Haitians, offering stability to families who contribute to our country every day.
Trump promised to go after violent criminals. Instead under our "pro-life" President, ICE is detaining pregnant women & mothers who have just given birth - as I have seen firsthand at Delaney Hall. ICE's detention centers are horrific & they are no place for mothers or children. This must end.
My thanks to law enforcement and the Hoboken PD for their swift work in apprehending a suspect and stopping this plot. We must and always will stand against violence and extremism and do everything we can to keep our communities safe.
Today’s news out of Hoboken is shocking. While I am relieved to hear that Nerdeen Kiswani and everyone in Hoboken is safe, we need to put an end to all forms of political violence and intimidation.
Proud to join my colleagues in reintroducing vital legislation that demands a new standard of care that puts moms and newborns first. We need to stop talking about preventable tragedies and instead do what it takes to save lives.
Powerful video by the @aclu.org and @brucespringsteen.net. Proud to be in this fight with them to protect birthright citizenship. If you’re "Born in the U.S.A.," you’re a U.S. citizen.
Because obviously New York's Teacher of the Year lives in New Jersey... Huge congrats to Prince Johnson, a social studies teacher at Food and Finance HS, for this incredible achievement. So grateful to all of our educators who dedicate themselves to shaping the next generation every day.
On #EqualPayDay, let's remember that gender pay disparities not only harm individuals but weaken our entire economy. As a proud co-sponsor of the Paycheck Fairness Act, I am committed to ending the wage gap and ensuring equal pay for equal work.
Had an important conversation with Rutgers President Tate on how we can equip our students and professors with the tools they need for success. Investing in student success is how we drive progress.
